🚨 Pennsylvania House Democrat leadership has now re-referred Senate Bill 9, the Save Women's Sports Act, FOUR TIMES.
Today, Representative Kate Klunk attempted to bring SB 9 up for a vote in the Children & Youth Committee. Chair McNeil shut it down with the support of House Democrats. Later in the meeting, SB 9 was brought up again, only to be re-referred once more.
If this sounds familiar, it's because it is. This marks the fourth time Democrat leadership has kicked the can down the road instead of allowing a vote on the Save Women's Sports Act.
It has now been one year since Senate Bill 9 passed the Pennsylvania Senate and was sent to the Pennsylvania House, where it remains stalled.
Women and girls deserve fairness, safety, and privacy in sports. Yet Democrat House leadership continues to use procedural maneuvers to avoid a vote on legislation that polling consistently shows is widely supported by 80% of Americans.
We're grateful for Representative Kate Klunk and her tireless efforts to bring SB 9 forward. Pennsylvania women and girls deserve a fair playing field.

The Health Committee Chair who re-referred protecting women in sports bill out of Health will now get it back just to keep it from going to the Governor in an election year. What are they afraid of? It’s an 80/20 issue and boys don’t belong in women’s sports. @Riley_Gaines_
🚨🚨 BREAKING: House Democrats just pulled the same stunt again.
They re-referred SB 9, the protecting women’s sports bill, after voting that it couldn’t even be heard in committee.
Imagine being so afraid of an honest debate and vote that you resort to procedural games to keep the public from seeing where you stand.
Whoopi Goldberg’s comments reveal everything wrong with identity politics.
I didn’t marry my wife because she’s white.
She didn’t marry me because I’m Black.
We got married because we share the same values, the same faith, and the same vision for raising a family.
At no point did marrying a white woman make me less Black.
At no point did marrying a Black man make my wife less white.
What it made us was a family.
The people obsessed with race can’t understand that most Americans don’t choose friends, spouses, or family based on skin color. We choose them based on character, values, and love.
The civil rights movement wasn’t about putting race at the center of everything. It was about moving beyond it.
NJ, MD & VA don't have the energy to produce their own power & have never paid their fair share for the energy PA supplied to them.
Once the Shapiro CAP was implemented, PA'ians are paying $60 more per MWh, while NJ, MD & VA pay nearly $110 less.
How does this make sense?🤔
Milton Friedman: “Keep your eye on one thing and one thing only: how much government is spending, because that’s the true tax.”
“If you’re not paying for it in the form of explicit taxes, you’re paying for it indirectly in the form of inflation or borrowing.”
Wow. 1,000 University of California professors signed an open letter to the Board of Regents demanding they bring back standardized testing after it was removed during covid for equity.
They reveal that many STEM students are BELOW Middle School level in Math!
“The SAT mathematics requirement is not an obstacle to equity; rather, it is a prerequisite for it. Failing to measure preparation gaps does not remove barriers; it moves them into the classroom, where they become harder to overcome.”
With one of the highest gas taxes in the country tacked onto every gallon, the state is taking a bigger cut than almost anywhere in America, right when people can least afford it.
We need to suspend the gas tax as well as the taxes on items families use heading into summer.
Looks like the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee finally decided to put up what they’re calling Part 2” aka “oops we got busted cutting 3 hrs of video” from the May 21st voting meeting including Rep Scott Perry’s testimony discussing his ALPR (Flock camera) amendment—an entire week later.
Listen to the testimony and see who voted against it 👇🏻

🚨🚨 SHAPIRO'S BILL IS COMING: On Governor Shapiro's proposed budget, the Independent Fiscal Office warns "a broad-based tax increase will be necessary because it will not be possible to cut spending enough to address that full deficit."

Maine Sec. of State Shenna Bellows just killed the “Protect Girls Sports” citizen initiative despite initially certifying 71,033 valid signature.
She later invalidated ~12,542 more, leaving it 532 short.
This isn't getting nearly enough attention. So much for democracy...

State-Endorsed Digital ID 🧵
Holy Wow 👀
It is here.
Governor Spencer Cox and the Utah Office of Digital Privacy have launched the country’s first comprehensive State-Endorsed Digital Identity (SEDI) program this month. It’s being sold as voluntary and child-protecting with all the right patriotic key words — but it’s the blueprint for a global digital ID system. 1/
Parents please take note of the data below. Children spend most of their waking hours at home. While schools plummet in reading, consider closing that gap for the sake of your child. Set aside an hour a night teaching phonics and making reading fun.
Rather than distancing themselves from SPLC, which was indicted for funding and instigating racism and antisemitism, the Shapiro admin is doubling down by having their “experts” lecture Pennsylvanians on “anti-Muslim hate.”
This ad is so well done.
Girls are faced with an impossible decision when they realize they have to play a boy in their sport. Do they forfeit? Should they really have to?
If that's something they even have to consider, the adults have already failed them. Do better, adults.
Sounds like a waste of time when we need cursive back, phonics back, and classic reading books returned to curriculum. And try to mix in a few books that have happy endings.
NEW: Have you heard of i-Ready?
It's in a THIRD of school districts.
The company behind it makes $800m/yr revenue.
Kids are often required to use it for 90 min/week, or more, and they hate it.
It doesn't count toward grades.
Teachers can't see a student's answers.
Schools are paying millions for it hoping to improve their state test scores, but critics say there's no proof it works.

"New data reveals funding for Pennsylvania’s public schools spiked to nearly $24,000 per student in the 2024–25 school year. ... ranking tenth in the nation in total per-student funding, about $4,000 more than the national average." https://t.co/excBRA967J
🚨 New York will be the 30th state to opt into the Education Freedom Tax Credit!
