This tax would specifically target Big Tech corporations like Google, Meta, and Amazon.
Estimates show that this tax expansion could raise between $329-624 million in 2027 alone. This additional revenue would greatly increase funding for public schools, transit, and more!
I am proud to have co-sponsored the Digital Advertising Tax - House Bill 1678. This bill would modernize PA's 5% gross receipts tax to collect revenue derived from digital advertising platforms that sell ad space on websites and apps in PA.
The digital advertising industry could not exist without harvesting our private data—geolocation, searches, clicks, personal networks—yet Pennsylvanians don’t receive a dime in return. 5% is a small price to pay in exchange for the profit we make possible.
I was honored to present flags that had flown over the State Capitol to officials of both townships. Those flags will forever honor the veterans who died in the Battle of the Clouds 250 years ago.

HB 2120 ensures that these agreements are included under PA's residential mortgage protections. This bill now heads to the Senate for their consideration.
Yesterday, I voted YES as the PA House passed House Bill 2120 - providing transparency and protections to homeowners entering shared equity agreements. These agreements allow homeowners to receive a lump sum of money by selling a percentage of their home equity.
These agreements do not accrue interest nor have principal payments and are not regulated as mortgages. They often require large balloon payments at the end of the contract and can impose limitations on renovations, renting the property, or obtaining additional financing.
