These maps approved by SCOWI today received an F back in the fall, and the same is true today.
Black representation in the legislature matters. And these maps crack and pack in a way that violates the VRA.
I voted against these maps in November, a thread:

I knew that Jonathan knew deeply how important it was that we pass legislation that would save lives.
May his memory be a blessing, and may we be a people who work to honor his life🧡 2/2
Thank you, @SenChrisLarson . When we lost Jonathan on Monday, this is the memory that immediately flooded my body.
I was sitting next to Jonathan at the @MedicalCollege in Wauwatosa, and his passion that day has never left me. And it won’t. I won’t let it🧡

5 years ago, Jonathan Brostoff used his platform as a member of the Speaker's Task Force on Suicide Prevention to make an impassioned plea for gun reform, including waiting periods for gun purchases, a red flag law, and universal background checks.
To honor his legacy, I will do all I can to make these reforms a reality in Wisconsin. We can't afford to keep losing loved ones to gun violence.
WAFP honors a select group of legislators as "Friends of Family Medicine" for their outstanding support in 2023-2024.
Their work helps promote excellence and equity in health for all people in Wisconsin through the advancement of the art and science of Family Medicine.
I condemn this act of political violence in the strongest terms. Our democracy is fragile, and violence is never the answer.
I wish Donald Trump a full recovery. My thoughts are with all of those impacted by this violence.
Gun violence is not an acceptable form of political discourse. I pray for a full recovery for the former president, and anyone else who has been injured.
I will continue to monitor the ongoing response from law enforcement.
My thoughts are with President Trump and all of the folks attending today’s rally in Pennsylvania.
Thank you to the first responders who acted quickly, putting themselves and their safety at risk in order to respond to a horrific act of violence and keep people safe.
I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.
I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.
Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.
The bipartisan bill I signed yesterday will give states the flexibility they need to use grant funding to help prevent stillbirth.
Stillbirth happens to more than 21,000 families every year – impacting Black and Native American women about two times more than white women.
Vice President Harris and I are committed to solving the maternal health crisis in our country and preventing these tragedies.

BREAKING: In a 6-1 decision, the Wisconsin Supreme Court just marked the beginning of the end of Republican lawmakers’ near-constant obstruction of basic government functions and efforts to prevent us from doing the people’s work.
This is a victory for the people of Wisconsin.⬇️
NEWS: Wisconsin state Supreme Court overturns process the GOP-controlled Legislature has used to review stewardship purchases, declaring it unconstitutional.
Terrific first half for 2027 G/W Jaylen Brown.
14 points, including some tough, but pretty left hand finishes.
Tosa West up 42-29 on Kaukauna at the break.
