Pope Leo has criticized the use of the Lord’s name in support of war. He is certainly correct. The comments of the Defense Secretary reduce America’s moral stature and make us no better than Islamic jihadists.

provides a de facto blanket immunity to social media platforms for content shared through them. In Congress, I led a bill to hold these platforms to a reasonable  level of accountability. It’s preposterous that platforms should incur no liability for what content they allow (2/2)

Deployment of US troops to Iran would be an extreme escalation of the bombing attack which is fraught with risk. Does anyone remember Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam? The $3.91 per gallon price of gas at the pump may double.
