Happy to announce nearly $740,000 in funding for Chester County projects with @SenatorDinniman. These funds are going towards projects that will help protect our environment and natural resources, specifically watersheds, and expand our trail system.

Pleased to share @GovernorTomWolf announced an executive order providing for protection to vulnerable populations. This order makes PA a trauma-informed state and expands on trauma-informed education initiatives I successfully passed in Harrisburg last month. #traumainformed
We now have Trauma Informed Education in PA! I am so proud to have this legislation pass, and I am confident that this new law will have a meaningful, positive impact on our schools and our youth. https://t.co/T5lqSTuAsD
Our National Guard members make great sacrifices to protect us and I’m proud to support them with my vote today for the PA G.I. Bill. As a cosponsor of this bill, I supported it in the House Veterans Affairs Committee and am happy to now see it on its way to the Governor’s desk.
Yesterday I voted no on a state budget that I believe fails to address Chester County priorities. Property tax reform, a severance tax on natural gas, investment in our aging infrastructure, environmental protections and gradually raising the minimum wage were not addressed.
I rose and spoke in objection to HB 33 which would eliminate the General Assistance Fund, a fund that provides nominal monthly assistance to disabled veterans, victims of domestic violence, the disabled, homeless and hungry.
I’m happy to announce my bill, HB 1035 unanimously passed the House. This is a huge accomplishment for a freshmen legislator of the minority party. This bill cuts bureaucracy at the local level, allowing projects to move forward in a timely manner, saving taxpayers money.
