HB 3014 recognizes the flexibility schools need to meet the unforeseen challenges in getting students to school safely and on time. Schools combine resources where they can to ensure students are getting the most out of their education, and that doesn’t stop inside the classroom.

We know that Oregon’s cultural diversity is one of our greatest assets. This bill is not only a critical investment in education, but an acknowledgment that we see Pacific Islander students and recognize the assets they bring into our classrooms and communities.

The Opening Ceremony on Thursday, May 18 was presented by Zomi Innkuan Portland, performing a Zomi cultural dance. They were guests of @Rep_HoaNguyen. The Zomi are one of many ethnic groups that live in Myanmar, Bangladesh & India!

University of Oregon Student Advocacy Day! I think the most interesting thing I heard today was that one of the buildings they need renovated is still in its' original condition! That just amazed me. Higher Education needs to secure funding at its current level at minimum.
