August is Water Quality month! I have been steadfast in my defense of Wisconsin's environment, having been named a Conservation Champion every session since 2017. I will continue to work to keep WI water clean, including cleaning up harmful PFAS chemicals plaguing our waters.
Was honored to receive my Conservation Champion Award in person last week! Thank you to @WIConservation Voters again for their hard work and I am glad we have been 100% on the same page over the last eight years!
Governor Evers announced today that Wisconsin reached a new record high for employment last month. More people in Wisconsin are working than ever before thanks to the work put in by Democratic leaders in our state. Let's keep moving forward!
Summer is a good chance to remind folks that not many workers have to work in the heat, no matter how high temperatures get. We must protect these workers, which is why this session I introduced AB901, requiring mandatory breaks for shade & to drink water https://t.co/h1bs2AUg5i
Republicans are *once again* using confusing, leading questions to try to push through horrible constitutional amendments.
Vote NO on questions 1 & 2 on August 13th to protect the Governor's emergency response powers!
Beyond proud to be named a @WIConservation Champion, and receive a 100% rating for the 4th straight session!
I will continue fighting to protect the environment as long as I am in the legislature.
Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there who do the hard work of killing the spiders, mowing the grass, and fielding the wiffleballs. Love you dad and I miss you.
Honored to chat with McFarland High School students today about housing, fair wages, and the justice system.
The future will be bright when these kids are in charge!
This isn't just a procedural victory. It means we successfully stopped Republicans from:
- Further demonizing noncitizens
- Wasting taxpayer money on PFAS polluters
- Harming rural healthcare services
...and more. I couldn't be more proud of our team.
For more than a year and a half, Assembly Democrats have been vigilant and have worked hard to protect @GovEvers’ veto.
Now, it’s official: we protected the veto all session long. #Forward
My mom was always dancing, no matter what she was doing. She never failed to put a smile on my face. I love you mom. Happy Mother's Day to all moms who deserve more than just a day for all that you do.
Today is Aayush Agrawal's final day as an intern in my office! His work has included helping research and draft Assembly Bill 1206, which increases access to medical and mental health care for Wisconsin veterans. Thank you so much to Aayush for all he has done for our office!
Calling state DEI initiatives "rebranded ethnic nationalism" is culture war propaganda at its most heinous.
When are Republicans going to realize people are smart enough to understand the difference between addressing inequity and reinforcing it?
I am proud to be a conservation voter! Making our world safe for future generations is among the most important challenges of our time.
Congratulations to @KerrySchumann and all those who have made @WIConservation into the formidable force for change it is today.
The disabled are often excluded from being able to experience the beauty of nature. More needs to be done to make sure that our outside spaces, especially our parks, provide enjoyment for all. https://t.co/R1458aqcuk
Students who are peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights should not be subject to violence at the hands of the government. They have a right to protest, whether you agree with the protest or not. https://t.co/etU3kMoq8r
I was proud to be Senate Lead on @Rep_Jimmy’s bill to end non-compete clauses in Wisconsin, but like most good workplace reforms, Republicans did not give it fair hearing.
I am thrilled the Biden Administration has stood up for workers’ rights by passing this nationwide!
BREAKING: The Federal Trade Commission has voted in favor of adopting a historic and far-reaching ban on noncompete agreements. https://t.co/QuY7XfdbaB
Thank you to my fellow panelists and our hosts @WKOW for an important discussion on media literacy today!
No matter their political beliefs, Wisconsinites trust local news to help make our government more responsive and honest.
Being sick, old, or disabled does not make you worthless. It does not make your vote or your life less important.
I can't believe I have to say this, Eric.
The abuse is happening here!
Wisconsin Republicans have been intent on eroding essential, longstanding laws that prevent the exploitation of child labor.
The fact that certain states are trying to roll back child labor protections is appalling. I applaud Labor Secretary @ActSecJulieSu for her dedication to cracking down on this abuse.
