@ChoppinBravos@Jesus_Cano88 AA responds condescendingly under tough questioning by #Braves beat writer @Jesus_Cano88 . He prob won't have to worry about Cano very long because Jesus is/should be heading for better things professionally. AA, meanwhile, appears poised for a long career as a corporate lackey.
The mighty Spiller has been felled, a pair of historic 125-to-160-year-old trees in Atlanta. They famously stood in the outfield (deep center-right field) of Ponce de Leon Park—also known as Spiller Field—where any batted ball hitting the trees remained live in play until 1947.
America hasn’t been perfect. It’s made grave mistakes. But there is no country that has ever done more for improving the world. It breaks my heart how unappreciative Americans across the ideological spectrum are of that. Much of the left rejects we’ve ever been good for the world, much of the right wants to stop being good for the world. Shame on all of them.
@DirtyDinkler@scottcoleman55 Really? Worse than Brett Butler and Brook Jacoby for Len Barker? Worse than Elvis Andrus, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Matt Harrison & Neftali Felix for one year of Mark Teixeira? Or Wainwright for 1 year of JD Drew? Yea, the Contreras deal sucked and always will but there's been worse
Race, class, and alleged cover-up, an outrageous witch hunt and a conspiracy theory that persists. Eleven years later the #KendrickJohnson story remains wildly misunderstood. Forget what you think you know -- here's the true story of a murder that wasn't https://t.co/RDDsnhhiIl
So I'm debuting a new venture, ReporterATL on Substack. You'll get original reporting and insights from a veteran journalist with an offbeat sensibility. (And while my first post involves Donald Trump, most that follow will not). Check me out https://t.co/2RluB2n8d0
Three down: Kenneth Chesebro accepts plea deal for his role in what Georgia prosecutors call a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election in favor of Trump, promising to testify truthfully against other defendants @RichardFausset @ReporterJCB https://t.co/dWe3vfCSnc
@Fried_Baseball One thing — according to Bowman, AA offered Ozuna to Nats for Patrick Corbin. It wasn’t so much that he believed in Marcell. He just lacked options.
FIVE WEEKS. That’s how long @WSJ’s Evan Gershkovich has been wrongfully detained in Russia. The world needs to know about this atrocity. Today is World Press Freedom Day, so please join us in demanding his release.

The killing of #TyreNichols mirrors a case six years ago in middle Georgia. Eurie Martin was beaten to death who were harassing him after he asked a white homeowner for water on a hot day. The cops were acquitted. https://t.co/qQnM0lVIEq
