On Wednesday, masked ICE agents conducted a series of arrests across Chicagoland – including at this courthouse in suburban Bridgeview, which is barred by local and state laws.
Chicago has seen an uptick in ICE activity in recent weeks, with local authorities largely absent from the scene. ICE likely conducted Wednesday's courthouse arrest without a judicial warrant, meaning the sheriffs present would have been legally obligated to prevent it.

👑🔥 AGAIN A WOMAN‼️ A QUEEN THAT STANDS UP.
Spanish MEP Irene Montero just torched the room in Strasbourg.
While EU leaders posture and celebrate, she looked them dead in the eye and asked:
What exactly are we celebrating?
Prevented a genocide in Gaza?
Stopped the illegal US-Israeli aggression on Iran?
Broke relations with Israel?
Ended the occupation of Lebanon?
No. We cannot celebrate any of these things.
Then she dropped the line that’s echoing across the internet:
“Happy Birthday, Mr. Genocide.” aimed straight at Trump.
The men in suits stayed silent or complicit.
She spoke.
Thank you, @IreneMontero.
Thank you, Spain 🇪🇸.
This is what moral courage looks like when institutions choose cowardice.

🚨BREAKING: in Chicago, ICE agents illegally entered Bridgeview courthouse, tackled and detained a man, and it all happened while Cook County deputies stood by and allowed it.
Illinois law, and a Cook County court order says, federal agents are not allowed to make civil arrests inside courthouses unless they present a valid judicial warrant.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, ICE agents claimed they had a warrant… but did not produce it.
Despite that, they still entered the courthouse, handcuffed a man in the lobby, and removed him from the building.
Then, in the video, a deputy is seen shaking hands with an ICE agent, after the arrest.
And when the person filming questioned the legality of what just happened, another deputy shrugged, and said, “Isn’t being here illegally a crime?”
Which… no. Being undocumented in the U.S. is not a criminal offense.
But, besides that, instead of upholding the law, the sheriff just assumed… and potentially allowed a kidnapping to happen.
The Public Defender’s office says no federal criminal charges have been identified, and the man was reportedly there for a deferred prosecution hearing.
Earlier that same day, ICE also detained a woman, and a small child, outside the courthouse, which the Public Defender’s office called a clear violations of state law.
So, the questions, everyone needs to be asking, are this…
If there’s a law banning this, a court order banning this, and no warrant is even produced when asked… how is this still happening inside a courthouse?
And why are the very people sworn to uphold the law, standing by while it happens?
BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds.
With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel.
The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education.
The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chrysler’s Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign.
Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the union’s legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.
ALARM!
How on earth is possible that Israel is allowed to assault and seize vessels in international waters just off Greece/Europe? Besides what you can think of Apartheid Israel and its genocidal leaders, this should send shock waves across Europe.

🚨 UAW CONDEMNS VIOLENT ATTACK ON TORNEL RUBBER WORKERS IN MEXICO, URGES IMMEDIATE USMCA ACTION 🚨
The UAW today condemned the shooting of striking workers at the Tornel Rubber Company in Tultitlán, Mexico, calling it a grave attack on fundamental labor and human rights and urging swift action by Mexican authorities and USMCA partners.
On March 18, four workers were injured when armed assailants opened fire on workers on night duty as they lawfully exercised their right to strike.
The strike at Tornel Rubber Company stems from alleged violations of the Mexican Rubber Industry Contract-Law, including:
- Non-implementation of a 40-hour workweek
- Unpaid 44-day year-end bonus
- Denial of proper vacation premium (25–31 days)
- Failure to pay social security contributions
- Non-recognition of official paid holidays (Feb. 5, Mar. 21)
The UAW is calling on Mexican authorities to ensure the safety of workers and to carry out a transparent investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
The situation reflects broader concerns about efforts within the rubber industry to weaken established labor standards and collective bargaining agreements. The UAW is urging the governments of the United States and Canada to take immediate action under the USMCA Rapid Response Labor Mechanism. Specifically, the UAW is calling for USTR to immediately self-initiate a complaint under the USMCA’s Rapid Response Mechanism.
“What happened at Tornel Rubber is an outrage. It’s an attack on human rights, on labor rights, and on the basic democratic freedoms of workers. The right to strike, to organize, and to bargain collectively are non-negotiable. When workers are met with gunfire for exercising those rights, the UAW will not tolerate it. We’re committed to fighting like hell to make sure every worker can stand up, organize, and demand what they’re owed without facing violence,” said UAW President Shawn Fain.
The UAW emphasized that failure to respond decisively risks undermining labor reforms and trade commitments across North America.
UAW Demands:
- Immediate protection for Tornel workers and their families
- Full enforcement of the Rubber Industry Contract-Law
- Public condemnation of the attack by Mexican authorities and industry leaders
- Independent USMCA complaint initiated by the U.S.
The UAW reaffirmed its solidarity with Tornel workers, who voted on March 22 to continue their strike.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken
My close friend and colleague Steve Sweeney @SweeneySteve is nearly killed by an Israeli strike in Lebanon.
Their vehicles are clearly marked as Press. They wear Press markings.
He's alive. What more can we say.
