Many people avoid using bike lanes when they are littered. Our goal with this cleanup was to enhance the cleanliness, safety, and overall experience for cyclists, pedestrians, and other road users.
Thank you to @StreetsR4Every1 for organizing this and to everyone who joined us!
We spent the morning with Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) working in teams to cleanup Reseda Blvd’s bike lanes, sidewalks, and median between Victory Blvd and Vanowen Ave.
As Reseda is in close proximity of their *VCL, we’ll be attending an outreach meeting held by @Metrolink with other community-based organizations located around their routes.
Please reply with any questions or feedback you have for them so we can help make your voice heard 🚂❤️
The new STAP shelters provide the shade, lighting, seating, and real-time transit information that riders need, with options to add even more features as we start to build out our network.
We have a huge shortage of bus shelters here in the City of Los Angeles – and in a city that gets this hot, that is outrageous. We cannot ask people to take public transit in order to meet our climate goals unless they can expect to be safe and comfortable.
StreetsLA is in the heart of the Valley today in #CD3.
Crew 254 is prepping an alley to be resurfaced, west of Reseda Blvd from Victory to Irwin.
