There was no swat standoff involving 20 CenterPoint Linemen being held hostage yesterday. Please stop spreading the lies. I would have been there!

Also, the Galveston situation where people said a lineman was assaulted? that was one lineman assaulting another lineman. These TikTok videos are out of control and have portrayed Houston in a way that is not fair to us.
As far as the drug poisoning of two linemen, I haven’t seen anything to substantiate it.

That viral TikTok video posted by that lineman is a huge exaggeration and it was made by someone not informed and not even working here.

What he’s not talking about in his TikTok is how people have been providing meals and discounts for linemen. The get catering bought out to them. Discounts and even barbershops have offered them their services on the house!

That TikTok lineman is not sharing how some people are actually washing linemen’s laundry. He’s not here to see how we honk and wave and cheer them on when we see them.He hasn’t seen how parents from the hood are getting their kids to make little care packages to pass out to them.

Some of y’all are fueling his rant and are dragging our city. Have there been some isolated incidents? yes.  Have people been nagging and asking for ETAs? yes.
But that TikTok video has put us in a light that is not true to Houston. Also anybody who has committed some sort of act against them, has already been arrested, and there are mugshots.

Please be careful what you guys are sharing and giving a platform to. These things if they were to have happened, they would’ve made national headlines.
PLEASE STOP SENDING ME THAT TIKTOK VIDEO.  If you wanna believe something from a complete stranger that’s not even out here go ahead, but don’t send it to me.

The TikTok lineman even goes on to say that he would never come to Houston and we are OK with that because the last thing we needed is someone lying on us. Respect our city.
