@maryknews I did the math and about 80% of games showcased at E3 2019 involved violence as a core mechanic. Almost 40% featured guns prominently. Not that we should do away with guns in games altogether, but surely there are more ways to interact with fictional worlds than shooting people.
And part 2 of my #PortfolioDay post – characters. In my game Paradigm, which comes out on Friday, you'll interact with the Paradigm scientist Elle, as well as three artificial lifeforms: HumanBot, Annie, and ZENITH. #indiedev#gamedev#indiegamedev
Here's part 1 of my #PortfolioDay post – backgrounds. In my game Paradigm, which comes out on Friday, you'll be spending most of your time in these two locations: the Paradigm lobby and the artificial intelligence holding cell. #indiedev#gamedev#indiegamedev
@maryknews I made a game once, completely by myself. Looking back, it's... not great. But hey, I made a game. Working on a second one now that I think will be a lot better. First one was a... learning experience.
@MorganicInk I have experience writing in a lot of different genres and mediums, including horror-drama short story, science-fiction visual novel video game, satire novel, and comedy short film. Would love to add TV to the list! #WGAStaffingBoost
@kentmudle @Variety @IanSkybound You know, amid all these massive layoffs that seem to occur in the video game industry like every other week, it's so nice to hear a story about a company that put their employees first, fans second, and personal profit last.
