How long are you planning on running the cycle for?? That's a very low dose, you may not see much of anything if your Total Test and Free Test numbers are normal for your age. I personally wouldn't run the HCG at a micro dosed quantity of 120mg/wk of Test. I would probably save it and when the cycle is done, if the blood work dictates it, use it then to restart your endogenous test production.
Bumping up may not be the answer. If you aren't doing much or any physical activity, that's a potential culprit to look into. Also, your scale may not be changing, but is your body composition changing?? If your seeing a loss of fat and are either retaining your muscle, or gaining, hold the course, you're getting results. Also, if all else fails, cease and desist the compound for a while, look at taking 8-12 weeks off and starting back up after that. Just remember that appetite at some point will rebound and you don't want to let that rebound run you over.
I design my programs to train both areas at the same time. Lower reps and heavier weights for strength and Type IIB fiber development and lighter weights and higher rep schemes for more overall hypertrophy with the focus on the Type IIA fibers. Two days per week devoted to strength and two days devoted to size.
@AntiDoc@deezynutz69 I personally don't, but a friend of mine does and he's very happy with his results, much improved nails, hair and skin. Runs 5mg of it.
As long as your blood looks good, you're otherwise feeling good, you're retaining your muscle tissue, then I don't see any issues. I've been on just short of a year thus far and have enough Reta right now to be on for another 3 years, no plans on coming off unless how I feel changes or if my blood work dictates it.
I don't think he's actually taking that stack, I think he's tongue in cheek with that laundry list. Plus, the Prop and Tren Ace shots at that amount I'm pretty sure ain't happening. He would be freaking crippled and those would have to be split up, so he's going to have so many injection sites lumped up like golf balls he wouldn't be able to move within a couple of weeks.
I experienced the same thing. My appetite suppression lasted roughly 10 weeks and then slowly, but steadily faded away. I take 4mg of Reta weekly, however, I'm Type II diabetic as well. I say that, but since starting Reta my A1C as well as my fasting blood glucose have all returned to normal levels. I don't know if you train with weights or not, but I feel that my progressive weight training may have aided with my appetite returning and normalizing. I have nothing to support that statement, but I do feel the intensive training done 4x/wk with weights, plus the swimming a mile three days a week for cardio helped to bring that about. If you're not doing much in the way of exercising, give it some thought, it might help. Also, I think consuming food that helps improve gut health is important. Yes, you need a certain caloric intake to remain healthy, but it may not be as huge as you imagine if your body can fully utilize the nutrients from the food consumed effectively and efficiently. The last thing to mention, which sorta sucks, but force feed. Regardless of how you feel get the necessary nutrition in.
The compensatory rebound. Your friend was at some level of overreach with his training, potentially all the way to overtrained. The rest, the extra food that was taken in even though he wasn't training, the sleep, all helped him to reregulate internally. He also then went into a state of super compensation, where basically his body was fully recovered from the stresses of his previous training run, but continued to compensate as if it wasn't. When this happens what you describe happening oftentimes does. Over the 12 years I competed in all forms of strength athletics I always used a deload prior to competing to elicit a super compensatory effect and this reliably allowed me to extend gym maxes on my competitive movements to competition maxes anywhere from 40-80lbs greater.
I don't want to get big and bulky, I just want to get toned !!! I lift baby weights that bring about zero change in the appearance of my physique because I just want to get toned!!!
So what the hell exactly is "toned?" What's the measurable marker(s) that tell you that you've reached this epic and mythical mountain top??
Toned falls into the same category as other words used in this sub-culture, such as jacked, ripped, shredded, huge, sliced and so on. They are meaningless words used to describe a look that otherwise doesn't have any common ground quantification. One person's idea of jacked is not the universal "definition" of jacked.
So there's the first problem. When chasing the elusive ghost known as "toned," people that speak of it can't even remotely define the criteria to achieve it. Then the examples come out. A picture of someone who fits their idea of what toned looks like.
And wouldn't you know it. The picture, inevitably shows someone with a certain level of muscle mass combined with a certain level of body fat. The muscle mass is always above the average level of a normal person and the body fat levels are always well below the levels of a normal person.
Now most people that speak of getting toned are women and aren't admiring the physiques of top bodybuilding women. They're admiring more the look of a gymnast perhaps without the large legs seen on some of those women.
So how does one achieve that look?? Lifting the 2lb pink dumbbells for sets of 50 isn't it. Neither are the 10lb leg extensions or the glute bridges with just your bodyweight.
Women have got to lift like men if they want muscle mass. And what is tone ?? It's a certain level of muscle mass !!! They need to pick and correctly perform useful exercises that will allow for the greatest acquisition of muscle mass. Side Laterals ain't that exercise. Then they need to progressively plan and execute a training program that will force the body to compensate for the efforts put forth with the acquisition of lean muscle tissue. A diet needs to be followed that supports the efforts in the gym without containing an excess of useless cals. Think wine here ladies. Your six glasses of wine every night are killing anything positive you might be doing in the gym. This whole agenda needs to be repeated for a long period of time.
What about the battle cry of, "I don't want to look like 'those' women!!" Let's just air the dirty laundry here. Those women have made a concerted effort to look like "that." It didn't happen by accident and it didn't happen quickly. And it took, besides years of effort, a significant quantity of performance enhancing drugs. So unless you plan on doing this balls in for the next 5-10 years, literally 24/7/365 AND you plan on pounding PEDs then your battle cry frankly sounds pathetic and retarded. If you get serious and see those first results from your "training like a man" efforts, you will quickly realize just how difficult it is to continue making progress and will never worry about looking like so and so every again. I promise.
@TheShreddington Yet another reason to not listen to anything doctors say. I'm sure his masters at Pfizer weren't happy with his lack of results on their part.
