@HP your website lies: "Can my printer still print if it's in sleep mode?
"The printer automatically returns to its normal power state when you send a print job. Sleep mode does not turn the printer off."
HOW? It doesn't see the network until I tap on the screen to wake it up.
@TrevPDS@AJamesMcCarthy In 1969 it was not technically possible to record a single video sequence as long as the video from the moon. Like, you couldn't physically fit enough magnetic tape in a carrel to pull it off.

@rmstein@rustybrick@OfficialLoganK Can you make it easier to avoid so-called "AI" for those who *don't* want it? For now I'm setting my default search to use &udm=14 but it's a clumsy workaround.
Motley Fool using cheesy generative automation and nobody's eyeballing the results. Five legged bull with a mutant paw and what the hell is it with its tongue?
@DellTech Email or SMS based 2FA is actually worse than no 2FA at all because it creates a new attack surface through social engineering. If you can't support FIDO or TOTP then don't go there.
@ClaireMadMax@speakoutsister At a previous job we had this really confusing training about gifts and I couldn't figure if I was allowed to let a vendor or customer buy me a cup of coffee at Starbucks. That was a decade and a half ago. I'm sure it hasn't gotten any better.
@AndroidAuth I would consider buying this, and even getting more Google Home infrastructure (currently just a Chromecast) to support it.
Google's Smart Speaker was awful, because it would override the assistant on my phone. It needs a separate attention phrase.
@alicelovescode I used to call all these and more "unleaded" back when leaded was still a thing, and never had to explain. I'm not sure whether there's a similar analogy any more that people would just get.
Edit: Google says you could still get leaded gas until 1996. Wow.
