Maybe that's what the US wants - an ongoing incentive for the gulf states to invest in circumventing the gulf for the long haul - rendering it worthless. In the meantime, China is reducing imports, Guyana, Argentina and others are ramping up. Maybe canada should build more coastal access.
@alifarhat79@DowdEdward I don’t know. If at this ppl are still getting whipsawed by tweets, then maybe being separated from their money is the only thing that will get them to not do so.
This is not a new pattern.
@brivael Change is a basic part of reality, which is to say many can't handle 'reality'. How insanely boring it would be to have no change. It adapt to change is to be alive. To avoid it like the plague is to already be dead.
It’s easy to throw stones at your friend and it is a really bad situation. Technically she is an adult and is responsible but just passing judgment is not cool. God knows what kind of advice she got or never got. Kids think ‘admissions advisers’ are ‘helping me get where I want to go’ - instead they are literally selling you into your own slavery. If a kid (ya, 18 is still a kid) doesn’t have wise adults they trust, then they get roped in.
In the meantime many professors and particularly bloated administrator staffs are sitting on a beach w healthy pensions…
@historyinmemes 1. No one pays minimum wage. No one would show up.
2. Look to non-professor/teaching staff bloat in universities for 100% of the cost increases. Total waste. Same jn K-12. ‘Education’ is not about teaching kids. Its a jobs program for adults.
@DerAchsenZeit Gold and silver have never been immune to downturns in risk off environments. But have a look at how they recover relative to other assets over time.
