I do love a Dreamcast.
This very well looked after and pristine white unit came in for a DC Digital HDMI upgrade, socketed battery and self healing controller fuse swap.
Back with Zek to enough with their family. 👌
Big iFlash2PS2 breakthrough! @rezenclowd3 informed me that he and pcm720 had tried following the advice of @Gusse__ to add 100pf capacitors to ground on the RESET, DIOW, DIOR and DMACK pads of the PS2 motherboard. They found that with this modification in place the iFlash was much more reliable at detecting SD cards even when the PS2 was hot, which has been a problem with some PS2s (especially SCPH-70001 models).
After some of my own tinkering I found that 200pf capacitors seem to work better for GH-032 motherboards, making hot reboots basically 100% reliable. I don't see any negative effects on GH-035 motherboards from using 200pf capacitors, so I'm going to recommend that as standard for all PS2s.
Now for the big news. Not only does this mod improve hot restart reliability, it also has unlocked reliable detection of many previously incompatible SD cards including SanDisk 1TB and 1.5TB cards! There are probably many other previously incompatible cards that will work now, but I don't have a huge sample size to test at the moment.
I've updated the install guide on my website to explain how to perform the mod. It works on all revisions of the iFlash flex.

I've ordered a reel of 200pf capacitors and once they arrive next week I will begin including them with each iFlash kit sold.
Been sitting on this idea for a while, and here it is finally in action on the PS2 FAT! OLED screen install — the rendering still needs some work as the extra 64 lines aren't handled properly yet.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Compatible with all Methylene versions and the new BlueRetro update — and this is just a glimpse of all the features, which you can discover at https://t.co/RAP2KOJfAy under the OTA update section 😉
Busy day at the office, we got the parts in for the ETH2SP1 adapters yesterday. Assembly is going smoothly, we will begin shipping shortly. Sorry for the short delay, we ran into a snag with the interface PCB, which needed to be re-ordered.
I don't remember sharing this installation photo on an PS2 Slim SCPH90004, I hope you enjoy it with the alternative points ;)
I hadn't created Methylene yet at the time.
Its crazy how busy life can get.
I start to think that getting busy peaks and then you can get a rest.
But it just seems to be the new normal.
Im still here and look forward to building some special systems this year.
Ive had two systems on the bench for atleast 6 months.
I'm building a totally open source, anything to anything controller/controller adapter firmware platform.
I believe gamers should be able to use whatever controller they want, wherever they want.
Bluetooth.. USB.. retro.. modern.. EVERYTHING!
