@HitmarkerJobs “Polish” is being used incorrectly here.
What you’re seeing is an increase in visceral feedback and vfx, commonly referred to as “juice”.
This is NOT polish.
@CrazyVibes_1 I think there’s a lot of us BECAUSE we know how to take care of ourselves.
We weren’t coddled and corralled. We made mistakes and learned from them. We hurt so we could react properly to REAL pain. We competed and knew to win you actually had to win not just show up.
@oldyzach I started playing as a little kid in 1979.
Started making games in 1982.
Been making games professionally since 1985-
I play less than before, because of a lack of time, not desire. I still love games and always will.
@PixelCNinja This reminds me. After finishing Strider, we were looking at what to do next with Capcom. I wanted Ghost & Goblins, but execs said, “nobody wants that” 🙄
We were also looking to do Final Fight, but I said I wouldn’t do it unless they gave us the SF4 character models.
New(ish) name, new(ish) logo, new(ish) key art.
VectaGuard is getting some major revisions and coming to Steam very SOON (consoles later).

@games_rozz Bravo. Too many people these days don’t care about framerate or blame the tools.
Curious, what have been your performance bottlenecks on this game?
@GetawesomeG@maxdeploy@pcgamer Right, so you have no idea what it’s like to work at a game studio or to be laid off after doing any job, good, bad or amazing.
Gotcha.
@games_rozz Maybe I should ask you offline, but I’m curious what makes this a 0.7 release and not say a 1.1 release or something?
Do you have a roadmap? How have you determined it’s not “done”?
Genuinely curious.
@neocatzeo@maxdeploy@pcgamer Is that the criteria?
Sorry, I didn’t get the rubric.
Keyboard Warriors and death threats are bullshit.
Really the world would be better off if there was no anonymity on the internet.
@wesleytypes@V3nti1at0r I think my big issue with a lot of “critics” is that they feel the baseline for their interaction with art is to “criticize” vs “critique”.
Criticism is largely focused on negatives, while critique constructive.
Too many people don’t know the difference.
@games_rozz I tell ya, if this place didn’t have the widest reach (outside of tik tok), I’d divest.
It really doesn’t feel like the type of place where you can have proper discussions about things
@games_rozz What’s the context?
I mean some people may just not be as good at word policing themselves, so “idiot” and “moron” is the same to them as calling you “doo doo head” on the playground. 😂
@GetawesomeG@maxdeploy@pcgamer That’s the kind of thing someone who’s never unfairly been laid off would say. Or maybe you’re retired and have that, “they deserve it” energy. 🤷🏽♂️
Do you hear about every layoff from Japan? Every cancelled game? No! But they happen, ALL THE TIME
@neocatzeo@maxdeploy@pcgamer Such a weird take.
So, because an echo chamber is talking about something, that means there’s “hero worship” and ignoring of others?
That’s a really weird way of looking at things. 🤔
I hear about 1000s of layoffs in other industries all the time. 🤷🏽♂️
