The retcon was that Cortana wasn’t on the Autumn.
In the journal it’s explained that Halsey still needed a fragment, but Cortana is mostly on the Autumn.
So all in all, you return a fragment of Cortana to Keyes and not much has changed.

Sergeant Lopez is part of the Mona Lisa story, one of the best Flood stories actually.

And you act like there aren’t any other good characters out there, like Jerome, Jun, Buck and his team, Sergeant Lopez, Grey team or any Spartan 3 from Onyx which are brutally underutilized in Halo 4 and on.

@LayerBurger Again, I played the games in chronological order and read the books in MIDDLE SCHOOL.
The beginning of 4 was the biggest red flag I had ever seen with a cutscene that guarenteed a lack of continuity.
And other than that, I don’t talk from my ass with a good amount of research lol

It was never guaranteed that he’d get Cortana, his asset back.
The only reason he did was because she had the Index from Halo CE and for fan service.
Did you forget he left Cortana on High Charity to die without hesitation?

@LayerBurger The changes in 3 were for balancing, if you played 2 you would know that.
Halo 4 is completely unbalanced, ESPECIALLY in its own multiplayer which is literally an uninspired COD clone with custom loadouts, perks, and killstreaks.

And brother, the hitscan is STILL an issue in 4.
