Our final contribution to the ERC PoC is now online. Making passive cooling coatings in the kitchen. Thanks @ERC_Research, @unibt, and all contributors for making this happen. https://t.co/FKYMKzyaNN
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the CRC1585MultiTrans annual retreat in Volkach—you all made it incredible! It was an incredible two days of outstanding talks, engaging discussions, and, most importantly, incredible integration!
Very happy to share our latest results from @CRC1585. Great collaboration between macromolecular, inorganic, and physical chemistry! Read here about the role of nucleating agents in racoPP on heat transport: https://t.co/k08IzSSiLT
Very happy to share Max's first @OPTEXC_UBT publication. Great joint effort with @bergera1805 and many colleagues from Uni Bayreuth. https://t.co/pcPVwpKTlF
Check out how chips bags can be turned into passive cooling structures (German only, though). @unibt@ERC_Research#passivecooling https://t.co/imulNNQrsK
Watch out for the marvelous properties of chips bags! Whoever can watch TM Wissen tonight on ServusTV (or later in their Mediathek). Thanks to the people from Bilderfest - it was fun and exciting producing the video clip with you! @ERC_Research#coolchips@unibt
Great collaborative work with the Karg group. We fabricated and analysed anisotropic polymer beads with excellent techniques including DDLS, FFF, and MDSC. Many thanks to Dominik and all contributors - now published in Soft Matter https://t.co/7EtnM0Bjk6
Quite amazing how anisotropy can influence the thermal transport of particulate materials. Here we used FEM to understand its influence. Great work by Flora and Timo! @BayBatt_UBT https://t.co/ZPXpav4AbA
If you have a passion for synthetic chemistry with interest in polymers and energy storage, then join our group https://t.co/EZELmwjF5Q and apply for an open PhD position https://t.co/x4qTWZFQAI
Very happy to share this cover art for our work on chips bags-based passive cooling materials. The article is open-access, too! https://t.co/QiVbo8nNdF
The last piece of Kishin's PhD work came just online! Thanks, Kishin, for all the great work that you accomplished for #VISIRday and #passivecooling@ERC_Research. All the best for your future career. https://t.co/HRwcnGUmBl
Great thanks to all contributors to this year's #BPS23@unibt . The days have been packed with excellent talks and posters. Alex presented his work on gradient carbon materials. Thanks to the organizing team and particularly HWS!
The #EurekaPrizes were fantastic last night! While our perovskite solar window team missed out on the podium, I was was thrilled that we were among such strong finalists, not to mention that @MonashUni was involved in the winning sustainability and interdisciplinary awards.
Our CRC1585 is hiring an interdisciplinary group of dedicated students. Transport is vital to many exciting technologies such as batteries, fuel cells, and photovoltaics... 20 exciting PhD positions to be filled: check out the details and apply now: https://t.co/hymtwVV0zt
@Tom_Clarke@peakaustria@ERC_Research The temperature under the coated umbrella was very close to the open-air temperature. The data is shown in Figure 4g.
@Tom_Clarke@peakaustria@ERC_Research Cooling takes place day and night as long as the sky is clear. Clouds and moisture deteriorate the radiative cooling effect.
The pouch indeed increases the emissivity for radiative heat losses, whereas the chips bag serves as a simple and cheap mirror.
