President Trump thought he didn't need the White House press corps. All of the major networks including Fox News refused to cover him after he tried to ban CNN, MSNOW and Politico. The comms team at the White House went ahead and put this on the White House YouTube channel.
Girlfriend calls the cops on boyfriend that is trying to bring his new girlfriend to their house. You just knew someone was leaving in cuffs.
Ohio police responded to a tense domestic dispute after a woman called 911 claiming her ex-boyfriend was outside her apartment and allegedly armed with a firearm.
When officers arrived on scene, the reality of the situation unraveled fast. The caller and her ex-boyfriend, Isaiah, had recently split up after allegations of infidelity.
However, both were still legally signed onto the apartment lease together. The issue? Isaiah had pulled up outside with his new girlfriend, Gabby, intending to come inside and go to sleep.
Furious, the ex-girlfriend demanded that police immediately trespass the new woman from the property.
Officers had to explain the cold reality of co-tenancy law: because Isaiah was a legal resident on the lease, he had every right to invite guests onto the property, whether his ex liked it or not.
Then came the firearm admission. The caller quickly walked back her original 911 story, confessing that Isaiah didn't have a gun at all—she did. She admitted that she owned a handgun kept upstairs on the counter and had previously walked outside with it during a confrontation with the new couple to threaten them.
While officers worked to mediate the situation and ran routine ID checks on everyone involved, dispatch dropped a bombshell: the ex-girlfriend had two active warrants, including a felony offense out of Stark County and another out of Akron.
Under Ohio law, having active felony warrants places you under a legal "disability," making firearm possession strictly illegal. What started as an attempt to get her ex's new partner kicked off the street instantly turned into her own arrest for Having Weapons While Under Disability.
The ultimate irony? After being detained in the back of the cruiser, officers walked over to Isaiah and his new girlfriend, informed them the ex was heading to jail, and told them they were entirely free to stay at the apartment for the night.
As Isaiah pulled his car directly into the driveway to take over the home, the ex-girlfriend suffered a complete meltdown in the back of the police cruiser, screaming through tears: "He's going to have her in my house, sir! He's right there... He's pulled into the driveway... They're going to take my stuff!"
Never invite the police into a civil dispute unless your own record is spotless is the learning lesson for this woman. The whole situation is comical to watching it all play out.
