Chiwenga down in a bid to become the next president, a mission he failed dismally and only succeeded in tarnishing the TEMU president’s image further, Tungwarara seems to be the only Chigandanga genuinely pushing ED’s interests. THE UNIFIER WHY PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA'S @edmnangagwa APPOINTMENT OF DR TUNGWARARA WAS AN ACT OF VISIONARY LEADERSHIP. I want to say something today that I mean with every fibre of my being as a Zimbabwean Patriot and Journalist covered this country's politics its divisions, its wounds, its factions and its possibilities for many years.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa made one of the best appointments of his PRESIDENCY when he chose Dr Paul Tungwarara as Presidential Special Investment and Empowerment Advisor.

I do not say that as a partisan statement.
I do not say it as a political endorsement.
I say it as a journalist who has watched this man work. On Saturday in Cowdray Park, Bulawayo I watched him do something that most Zimbabwean politicians have failed to do for decades.
He unified.

THE MAN PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA SAW.When President Mnangagwa looked at Zimbabwe's development challenge and decided he needed someone to lead the Presidential empowerment programmes on the ground he did not choose a politician.

He did not choose a Party loyalist. He did not choose someone whose primary qualification was factional allegiance.
He chose Dr Paul Tungwarara.
A man of substance. A man of vision. A man whose orientation is not toward political territory but toward human need. A man who looks at a community and does not first ask who did you vote for?

He asks what do you need?
And then and this is what separates Dr Tungwarara from incompetent politicians, That instinct. That orientation. That refusal to weaponise development as a political tool.

President Mnangagwa saw it in Dr Tungwarara. And he was right.
THE BOREHOLE THAT DOES NOT ASK YOUR PARTY CARD
On Saturday in Cowdray Park Ward 28, Bulawayo I witnessed something that I want every Zimbabwean to understand the full significance of.
A Presidential borehole was commissioned in CCC territory.
Clean water began flowing in opposition heartland.

Two thousand food packages were distributed in the ward that has historically said the loudest NO to ZANU-PF.And Dr Paul Tungwarara the man President Mnangagwa appointed to lead this programme did not flinch. Did not hesitate. Did not attach conditions. Did not ask Ward 28 to change its political affiliation before the taps were turned on.
He just delivered.

That is what genuine national leadership looks like.
That is what development without discrimination looks like.
That is what a Presidential programme worthy of the name looks like.A borehole does not know if you are ZANU-PF or CCC.
Solar panels do not check your voter registration.
Clean water does not flow only to those who raised their hand for the ruling party.
Under Dr Tungwarara's stewardship it flows to every Zimbabwean who needs it.
