Wharton was the best player at 0-0 as he created Crystal Palace’s best chances to score.Wharton was again the best player at 1-0 as his quick passes after the ball was turned over gave his team crucial territory. He scans every inch of the pitch & executes his passes accordingly.

Cannot believe that Adam Wharton is being left at home for this World Cup. He should have been the first backup to Anderson in midfield at 6. There are game-states where England will be drawing or losing that Wharton’s incisive passing will be exactly what they need. Baffling.
