PRESS COMMUNIQUE
Dated: 12th January 2026
The unprovoked bomb attack at Kharam Vaiphei on 8th January and the subsequent blockade at Ireng Naga Village on the 12 January against the Kuki-Zo commuters is nothing but a ploy by the valley based organizations to inflame animosity between the tribal communities inhabiting within Kangpokpi.
This intermittent road blockades against the Kuki-Zo commuters in areas occupied by the Liangmei and Rongmei Nagas has become the only means to provoke the Kuki-Zo by the valley Meitei/ Meetei community since the imposition of Governor’s Rule by utilizing organizations under their payrolls such as the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) Or Foothills Nagas (FNCC) from time to time.
While understanding the political and security aspects of the Naga community in Imphal Valley as a minority, the Committee on Tribal Unity would like to remind them not to stoop so low only to become the mouthpiece or the foot soldier of the majoritarian Meetei/ Meitei community in the valley but to abide their neutrality in these tribal persecution if not as a Christian community.
Therefore, the villagers of Ireng Naga are advice to lift the road blockade against the commuters plying between Churachandpur and Kangpokpi at the earliest so as to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding between communities inhabiting the region.

The most affected in the ethnic cleansing in ‘Manipur’ were the tribal Kuki Zo people and this is how even the state under President’s rule deliver solace.@HMOIndia @the_hindu

Displaced in Manipur 60,000 plus. Assume 10 members in each family, 6000 plus families. 35 Cr towards housing for displaced. ₹58,333 per household?? Properties worth hundred of crores destroyed. ₹7 cr towards compensation? Or is it only for valley??@nsitharaman
Manipur: Biren’s resignation alone can’t absolve him of his crimes.
In his #ManipurTapes, he admitted to initiating ethnic cleansing against Kukis, which resulted in the deaths of over 200. He also facilitated distribution of weapons. He must face trial & be prosecuted
@pbhushan1
Even Churachandpur district medical college is established at Imphal Kyamgei, which reveals the prioritization of interests by the Meitei community. No, we will not live with these Meiteis. Nor will we allow them to establish their presence in our territory. @Birenshakthu
Manipur: The silence from the Govt of India is complicity—demand justice for Kuki-Zo! Biren Singh’s use of state forces to target Kuki-Zo people is a crime against humanity.

It's shocking to see a radical organization accused of such heinous crimes, now trying to preach about respecting the constitution.
Their alleged actions, including looting 6,000 sophisticated weapons from state armouries, burning and destroying 350 churches and 7,000 houses, and committing rape and murder of innocent civilians, are utterly reprehensible.
It's crucial that organizations like these are held accountable for their actions rather than being allowed to hypocritically lecture others on respecting the law. The National Investigation Agency @(NIA) booking them is a step in the right direction, but more needs to be done to ensure justice is served.

A phenomenal speech by Shri. Alfred K. Arthur, MP Lok Sabha (Outer Manipur): addressing his concern for the common people in #Manipur, and exposing the total failure of Double Engine @BJP4India Govt., both at the centre & the state, in delivering their duties & responsibilities.
He deserves a humble appreciation.! I don't regret voting him despite all odds: threats & intimidations by @BJP4India's goons in the hills.

Today, after five days of mourning and remembrance, the Kuki_Zo community gathers to lay to rest our beloved martyr, Mr. Lalgouthang Singsit. On March 8, 2025, Mr. Singsit was shot and killed by the Central Forces in the Kanggui area while peacefully protesting against free movement in the KukiZo region. His tragic death serves as a stark reminder of the brutal force used by the government to suppress our constitutional right to protest.
As we gather today for his burial, we honor his sacrifice and stand in solidarity with his family and community. We demand accountability from both the Central and State governments for the use of live ammunition to control innocent civilians. The blood of our people continues to be spilled, yet the government remains silent, offering no political resolution to address the issues faced by the Kuki_Zo community.
Manipur: The only cultural organization with sophisticated weapons and military-style practices like salutes🫡 . The only group seemingly immune from looting state armories. Is @NIA_India really afraid of Arambai Tenggol terrorists? Kuki volunteers are bombed, but here.
@HMOIndia
The central forces have deliberately targeted innocent civilians. What is the motive behind this ruthless killing? How much longer must we endure this suffering before our voices are heard?
