Short excerpts from my remarks this week at the 16th EU-Israel High Level Seminar on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life.

"European Jews are European citizens, like Christians, Muslims, and others. Why are they the only ones targeted for a war happening far away, a war in which they have no part?"

"This is where Europe’s leaders must look inward. Those who respond to antisemitic attacks with: “Yes, but Gaza…”, what responsibility does a European Jew have for events in the Middle-East? These statements are irresponsible. They provide a moral alibi for racist attacks. They normalize them."

"We often hear unbased criticism of Israel’s approach to freedom of religion. But can anyone honestly claim that a Jew who fears entering a synagogue, a community center, or a Jewish school, for fear of arson, violence, or worse, truly enjoys freedom of religion?"

"Criticism of Israel is legitimate, when it is factual. But when politicians use Israel as a populist tool, accusing it falsely of genocide or ethnic cleansing to gain a few more votes, and then fail to condemn attacks on their own Jewish citizens, they must ask themselves what responsibility they bear for the fact that 81 years after the Holocaust, Jews once again feel unsafe in Europe."

Today, the IAEA Board of Governors voted on a resolution underlining the Iranian regime’s clear violation of its NPT commitments.
The Iranian regime’s refusal to cooperate, grant access, and address its non-compliance cannot continue. Referring this to the UN Security Council is necessary and long overdue.

Facts:

Yes, I know, facts have stopped mattering to way too many people, but still, facts are facts.

​Israel was attacked on March 2nd from Lebanon by Hezbollah.
​Israel, in response, acted against the terrorist organization.
​The US brokered a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. Both governments agreed.
​Iran - yes, Iran - rejected the ceasefire agreement. What gave Iran the right to reject the agreement after the Lebanese government had already agreed to it?
​The result: Hezbollah attacks communities in northern Israel. Israel, in response, strikes a Hezbollah target in Beirut.
​Iran - yes, Iran again - launches ballistic missiles at Israel. Yes, launching ballistic missiles in response to Israel's action against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
​These are the facts, and that’s without even mentioning the Houthis in Yemen, who also attacked Israel on Iran's behalf tonight.

​These are the facts. Yes, I know there are already those who simply don't care about them. We do, it’s our lives that are being threatened.

Iran fired 11 ballistic missiles at Israel today. Each one of those missiles can level an entire neighborhood and kill hundreds. No self-respecting country in the world would tolerate such an attack, and neither will Israel.

Israel is now targeting Iranian surface-to-surface missile launch sites, as well as infrastructure facilities unrelated to the energy sector.

The people of Lebanon have rejected Iran’s proxy, Hizballah, and have told Iran to get out of their country.

If Hizballah fires at Israel, its command centers in the Dahiya will be hit hard.

This has nothing to do with Iran.

Everyone has had enough of this maniacal Iranian regime.

One Israeli was murdered and five others were injured in a shooting terror attack in the Sharon region.

The terrorist opened fire on civilians at multiple locations before being neutralized, turning an ordinary day into a nightmare for innocent families.

We mourn the loss of Captain Shahar Gamla, 23, from Natur, a deputy company commander in the Egoz Unit, Commando Brigade, who succumbed to his wounds after being severely injured during combat in southern Lebanon.

Our hearts are with his family and loved ones.

Today, I am proud to announce that Israel will open its first-ever embassy in Ljubljana.

The election of Prime Minister @JJansaSDS marks a new chapter in relations between Israel and Slovenia. After years of the hostility of the previous government- we now have an opportunity to rebuild, strengthen, and deepen a real partnership.

An Israeli embassy is more than a diplomatic mission. It is a statement of friendship, dialogue, and a shared belief in freedom, democracy, and security.

❗️ Hezbollah launched mortar shells that hit a UNIFIL position and killed a UN personnel member in southern Lebanon

Overnight, Hezbollah launched several mortar shells that landed inside a UNIFIL force position in the Dibbine area in southern Lebanon—killing a UN personnel member and injuring two others.

An examination of the launch trajectory clearly indicates that the fire was carried out by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

Today’s talks were another important step in the process to facilitate peace between Israel and Lebanon.

But make no mistake: if Hezbollah thinks this outcome gives them immunity- they are wrong.

This ceasefire is entirely contingent on a complete cessation of fire towards Israel, and the complete dismantling of Hezbollah and its terror infrastructure.
