The “boring” stuff wins ballgames:
-Backing up the play
-Putting the ball in play
-Moving the runner
-Making the routine plays
-Consistent communication
-Throwing strikes
-Smart baserunning
-Taking your walks
-Getting HBP, holding your ground
-Hitting a cutoff man
-Hustling out everything
*At some point, the “boring” tasks of ⚾️ will win extra games! And more often than not, playoff berths, seedings, playoff wins, and even championships can be determined and decided by what many would call “boring.”
Turn the “boring” into the “important” and that’s how you win!

There’s a difference between a hero and a Warrior. The hero wants the glory and the trophy. They are looking at the clock hoping time speeds up so they can win. The Warrior loves the battle! They focus on the NOW and fight until the end.
You’re gonna go through times where you really suck.
And it really sucks to suck.
But dwelling on it and putting yourself in a negative, pouty, woe is me mindset, will only make you suck even more.
When (not if) you suck, stay positive, keep playing the game the right way, keep being a great teammate, keep up your energy and hustle, and you will eventually suck less.
How you handle the sucky times that ⚾️ brings will determine whether or not you will have longevity, and if you really have the competitive mindset needed to be elite.

Culture doesn't change when just the coaches are keeping athletes accountable.
Culture changes when athletes begin to keep each other accountable.
Coaches: Teach and empower your athletes how.
It may be difficult at first but it’s imperative to success.

INTEGRITY IS NOT SITUATIONAL
After a heated loss in Dec '21, Jamal Shead cleaned up his teammate's mess. 2 years later he was Big 12 P.O.Y on nation's #1 team.

You don’t become a positive person by accident…
It takes intentional repetition, thought by thought, day by day.
Science says it takes about 21 days to form a habit. But I’ve found something deeper: give it 30 days, and you won’t just change your habits…
you’ll change how you see the world.
That’s what 30 Days of Positivity is all about. Daily encouragement. Actionable mindset shifts. A chance to start the year with positivity and intention.
If you’re ready to train your mind and build something that lasts, let’s go!
