@evan_tuna @SingnRing@RickWarren The Spirit of God empowered both men and women to be proclaimers of God’s redemptive work in Christ (Acts 2:14–18). Women’s participation in the edifying presentation of the gospel and vocal prayer in the congregation were a normal part of early church life (1 Cor 11).
@evan_tuna @SingnRing@RickWarren This restriction was not universally applied by Paul. Women functioned in prominent leadership positions (Phoebe, Lydia, Euodia, Syntyche, Priscilla, Junia), designated as ministers (or deacons, Rom 16:1), fellow workers (Rom 16:3), colaborers (Phil 4:2–9), apostles (Rom 16:7).
@evan_tuna @SingnRing@RickWarren Here is the error I believe in that logic. If women are disqualified to lead because Eve misled Adam. Wouldn’t men be disqualified to lead their spouse/home because he was complicit and didn’t protect and lead Eve.
@kirkfranklin Happy birthday! When I first came to faith Kirk Franklin and The Family was what I listened to. JESUS PAID IT ALL. My all time fave. Be blessed today!!
@lecrae It has been politicized. The POTUS and VP said they wouldn’t get it if Trump told them to. So it’s on them for giving misinformation and pressuring people to get it now. It shouldn’t be a divisive issue. It should be a choice.
@RealCandaceO I have 4 boys. My wife became pregnant a couple months after our wedding. I wish we waited a little longer but I wouldn’t change a thing. We weren’t expecting to be able to have more after our 2nd. So they are all miracles.
