@JimmySargent65@CJNitkowski Wait since when did we do 25%-30% for good service? I thought 20% was the standard for good service. This tip % creep is getting out of hand.
Blanche just stood there and said, with a straight face, that the Constitution lets the President run a pardon-for-cash bazaar. The Constitution? The same document that lists 'Bribery' as a high Crime and Misdemeanor? The same one that doesn't contain a single word immunizing the President from selling official acts like some two-bit grifter hawking timeshares at Mar-a-Lago?
This isn't a legal argument. It's a mob lawyer's shrug. "Who the president chooses to pardon is not a problem, period." Translation: we're above the law, and if you don't like it, sue us. The Framers are spinning in their graves. This is corruption so naked it doesn't even bother with a fig leaf anymore.
BLANCHE: Who the president chooses to pardon is not a problem, period
IVEY: What's the legal basis for that statement?
BLANCHE: The Constitution
IVEY: The Constitution does not give him the authority to pardon in exchange for payments. It does not permit bribery
@KristenhCNN@kaitlancollins Of course he is. Todd Blanche is Trumps personal lapdog. His personal attorney. The whole point is loyalty to Trump, not loyalty to the Constitution or the American people. That’s exactly why Trump wants him, and exactly why the Senate should reject him.
Very much appreciate Aaron using his platform to keep this story alive b/c the utter lack of curiosity among the WH press corps about this - and this isn't the first time Trump has gone MIA for days! - is really infuriating after what they did to Joe Biden.
@EK_2C4M@Matt_S_Britton@bourscheid@POTUS It's not treason because it's not aiding and abetting an enemy. But it's deplorable nonetheless. If it is true, and the cabinet did not invoke the 25th, then they should all be removed from their roles
