@FPLfrasier I think it's more about getting rid of the players who don't offer enough for the wage they're on. It's just been mislabeled. I think we need to do this, whilst looking to build a squad of players that can consistently get in the top 4/5 every year. That's the phase we're in now.
@ahtalksfutbol Why would we, unless we want to replace one of the existing four? We have those four, plus Ugarte. Not sure I see a need for another even after Ugarte goes, unless it's a young player with high potential.
I expect a defensive rebuild next summer.
@iancr65@terryflewers Don't think there'd be anywhere near as much of a meltdown if that's how it goes. There will be a big one if we don't get any LB at all though.
@CharZiyanah@CharIieBennett Wouldn't be the first time a player was "NOT FOR SALE" and end up moving. That said, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get him.
@JoshC_mufc2 I think if our first choice back four was fit consistently, it's better than bottom half. Unfortunately, we all know that's about as likely as PSG winning the PL.
@Liam_J20 Still don't know how that wasn't given. Think there was another one given against Romero (definitely a Spud, might not have been him) against somebody (maybe Arsenal) that was very similar around this time. Could not believe it.
@FPLfrasier They gambled, they lost. It happens.
If he'd had another season like 24/25, he would probably have been sold to Chelsea for £100m or something like that.
@FPLfrasier It's something people say because he's from Nottingham. I'm not his biggest fan, but I haven't see any genuine reason to doubt that he's a United fan. He's unnecessarily negative for views, but that's just a money thing, probably. I don't know him personally, so I could be wrong.
@ManUtdgossips I think it can only be his personal life counting against him causing this sort of opinion. The combination of pace and skill he had was frightening, and it'll be a long time before someone takes his PL assist record. As a player, one of our very finest, without a doubt.
@LoEl81 It's going to take time and first team minutes for that to happen, and I don't think he'll get that with us. He'll probably need to move on to reach his potential.
@utdAdams From the era that this seems to be focusing on, who should be in ahead of Darmian? AWB, because of the fee? Or have I forgotten someone really obvious?
@Utdbeni Our budget is usually stretched thin as it is. You would not get good fees for most of those players, for various reasons. That's why they haven't been sold and replaced. I also wouldn't want to see about half of those players leave, although you could add Mount and Ugarte.
