@SamThomasSitcom This shot's line-weight isn't very good but its not like this is how their entire section looks, they have some really appealing shots that are loosely drawn and very charming. One of their quirks is capturing board artists nuisances. Put them in S6 and they'd figure it out quick
@SamThomasSitcom @TheSpongeBoy1 Yeah this specific frame may have been motion tweened but atleast the layout was paper so its more apealing than Snipple's linework 99% of the time.
Snipple was given the benefit of the doubt in CATU due to Covid, then they take up H&G and S5 and drop the ball..they don't care
@SamThomasSitcom That and the fact they seem to be the only studio left doing paper layouts that's obtainable. RDK is constantly booked and Wang Film hasn't done full episodes since MML. And Saerom sadly switched to cut costs.
@kianamaiart Idk if you can share and its totally fine if you can't, but are yall still using paper-layout based Rough Draft and Sugarcube?
BCG and Sometimes Kiff are like the last bastion of true traditional frame-by-frame at DTVA. I was pretty bummed when I heard PnF switched to software.
@animatedminus Its sad that the term "hand-drawn" is always associated with DIP even though software like TVPaint and to a lesser extent, Harmony exist. Execs have zero intrest in using software to max potential to emulate frame-by-frame. Why would they? Cloud sharing along was enough to switch
@ElY0rch_000@Calzon3Studioz It has hand drawn frames? From what I can tell there are no rigs and if there were they've been cleaned by clean up artists.
@RegularShowJGS@makunijiiro I haven't seen all the credits myself (I did see the leaked eps) but usually sub-contracted studios don't get credited. Same situation with Wang Film on PnF S5, they were way more involved in the earlier eps but have no on-screen credit.
@RegularShowJGS@makunijiiro My point is that Snipple is the worst overseas studio these days and they dont even attempt to tweak their pipeline to match a show's visual style. They're worse than toon city in the 2000s and pathetically close to rivaling DIC in the 80s.
@sketching204 Wouldn't it just be a 3rd season considering all the returning IP's in the last few years have been revivals as suits have finally figured out that the public has soured on the idea of reboots?
