@DrewVento Sometimes life and government throw things at them and wipe out their savings. You can't always tell. However, people should put as much as possible in general savings, NOT RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS.

@daviexbt This is why you should have an emergency savings account. Put the money you would pay for insurance premiums in savings to cover large expenses that are out of your budget. It will grow fast and you even get interest. Then you can pay cash. Easier.
