27 M on a mission to quit excessive internet use, alcohol, drugs, porn, unhealthy foods and give my brain a complete rewire for 6 months. Transform with me!
Professionally I am going to bet BIG on a return to normalcy away from addictive technologies. People want wellness and want their children to grow up playing and learning not facing a screen all day.
I’ve been reading about self esteem and holy shit does low self esteem explain a ton of toxic behaviors.
Always be working on #1 - nobody’s opinion of anything matters as much as your opinion of yourself!
@BowTied_Dragon@ZubyMusic The least masculine thing you can possibly do is deny reality. Make pretend it’s different than what it actually is.
Sounds to me like this is what you’re advocating. Our emotions are real. Expressing them unashamedly is a part of being a man.

It’s been a month since I’ve watched porn. In that time:
- been on 3 dates
- have lost 8 pounds
- made a couple of friends I think will be around for the long haul
- read half of a Harrari book I’ve been trying to get to for a while.
Cut out fake pleasures.
I can’t put into words how bad I think porn is for basically all parties involved. Bad for men who consume it. Bad for women when their guys are addicted.
Personally, ever since I stopped my outlook on relationships and sex is a hundred times healthier. Never going back.
There are 3 axes to connect on when it comes to dating and relationships:
1. Genuine romantic connection
2. Sexual attraction
3. Partnership and friendship
Anything less than a slam dunk on all 3 isn’t worth your time
