@F1@salesforce@Max33Verstappen Why would this sport want the winner decided by an also ran having a problem? I can’t figure it out. It isn’t decided on the track. It’s decided by who got a safety car at the right time. Why would you want that?
@nfloor@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen Then always let them race. That’s all. You too. I’ll see if I tune in next year. I’m pretty confused. It’s the steward side that has me perplexed. That’s my dominant issue after this season. Too many WTF moments that happened to a lot of drivers after a stewards decision.
@rivercdoyle@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen Him catching up is fine. It’s them disregarding their own process to “go racing.” Why don’t they just “go racing” all the time? Oh. That’s right. It’s because the leaders would immediately catch the lap cars again.
@nfloor@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen No. Crashes happen. The same unlapping procedures were not followed. It was clear to see. We see the lapped cars unlap themselves every weekend, catch up to the pack under one more safety car lap, and the race resumes. Not today.
@PatyGName@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen It makes me question the “sport” as a whole. It really does. Changing the rules on the last lap of the last race to decide the title is more like a child’s game with no adults around. My son used to do that to make himself win, until we stopped him.
@rivercdoyle@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen That was also mishandled. Mercedes was miles down the road today. Miles. Max and Red Bull had no business winning the race. It’s that simple. From a neutral’s perspective, it makes me question the “sport” as a whole.
@PatyGName@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen The rules would have led to ALL lapped cars in lapping themselves and catching up to the pack under one more safety car lap. It’s happened so many times this year. Not today to decide the title. Horrible for a neutral. Just horrible.
@Luke28888833 @rivercdoyle@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen I started watching because my work schedule changed to where I was up when it came on. Good try though. I just don’t give a shit. I saw what I saw and I’m a neutral.
@rivercdoyle@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen My issue is with seeing a definite difference in how the rules were applied from race to race. I’m no expert. I’m basing it off of what I’ve seen and I’ve seen every race this year and most of last. That’s where my thoughts come from. It was different and a lot of people agree.
@rivercdoyle@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen I’m not an expert. I have eyes. Every other race they let all lapped cars unlap themselves and catch the pack. That way the leaders don’t just catch them again immediately. That has equaled one more lap under safety car. Which ends the race. It’s pretty simple.
@JesseSchmitzNL @dstewart20@F1@Max33Verstappen Nope. They would have run one more lap under safety car to let ALL the lapped cars catch up to the pack. I don’t care who won. I have no loyalties. Changing the rules for the last lap of the last race to decide the title and gift wrap it for one driver is not a sport.
@j2occles@dstewart20@F1@Max33Verstappen I am. It isn’t a sport. It’s something else. A rich boys club that makes decisions on a whim and clarity is mud. I could care less who wins. I’m an American with no loyalties. It was flat wrong. Every other race the lapped cars get to catch up. One more safety car lap ends it.
@dstewart20 @Monrroy90 @F1@Max33Verstappen No one can answer this question. They handed the title to Max on a silver platter for ad revenue. It’s not hard to see. And, I’m a neutral. I’ve only been watching F1 for 18 months.
@F1@Max33Verstappen You lost an F1 fan today. You changed your rules for the last lap of the last race of the season. I’m no Mercedes fan. I don’t give a damn. I’ve been watching less than two years. I won’t make it to year 3. That is not sports. This is a child’s game. Change the rules mid-game.
@GetUpESPN@Espngreeny Did anyone else hear Sam Darnold talking about day 1 protection installation? Bill Belichick laughed and brought day 7000 blitzes. #checkersvschess
