In March this year, I made a post saying I was open to collaborating with techies building something cool.

Collins (@defamouscollins) approached me about a possible partnership and shared an idea for a platform he was building. It connects people who need financial help with those who want to help.

He shared his story-driven vision statement (https://t.co/F19In6Kl5y), which I found quite inspiring. I gave him my honest feedback.

Seven months later, I saw a tweet that said, “There should be an app where you upload your bills and bored billionaires swipe right to pay them.”

Then I mentioned the platform Collins had told me about: https://t.co/qDXT2xVb8s.

And BOOM! It went viral.

People love the name and the idea behind it.

Many people have joined the waitlist and provided quite helpful feedback for improving and scaling the platform.

My lesson from this: keep sharing your ideas. People are paying attention and taking notes. One day, an opportunity will present itself, and they’ll remember you and plug you in.

Keep documenting the process and keep growing.

If you’re a techie building something cool, head to the comments section and share what you’re working on. I might not be a partner or investor, but I’ll sure remember when an opportunity related to what you’re building shows up.
