@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf At this point you've stopped your original contention that Democratic ideology results in beneficial policy. Now, you're mocking me. This is not necessary and is unfortunately what usually happens when trying to debate these issues online. Thanks for the debate. Take Care
@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf@dbmain The new CNN article shows that incomes are rising and poverty is declining under Republicans without COVID era spending. This is good news for everyone. It's unrelated to the more extreme gender, immigration and DEI policies that I mentioned earlier.
@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf@dbmain https://t.co/3DrtHZHIWA The gains came in the first year of Trump’s second term, after little real income growth during much of the Biden years (income only returned to its pre-pandemic peak in 2023 and was flat in Biden’s last year). No Bubble.
@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf DB, you will find a lot of Republicans in agreement on domestic welfare polcy. What you won't find is agreement on open-border immigration, DEI (Cultural Marxism) and gender identity. These radical ideologies are at the core of the modern day Democrats.
@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf You and I are in complete agreement there. These wars and the way that they are being prosecuted are completely unsustainable. Would much rather have that money come back for the poor.
@dbmain@grok@howardrgold1@McCormickProf@dbmain Thank you, that is good news. Despite my bubbled existence, I do care about the poor. @grok were the results reference in the article in @dbmain reply a result of COVID era policies? Are those policies sustainable?
@dbmain@howardrgold1@McCormickProf DB: It's possible that I do pay attention to leftist Ideology primarily. One reason is because it's ubiquitous. I have no idea where you are getting your information regarding the economic and poverty reduction claims. It could be true, but I haven't seen it anywhere.
@howardrgold1@McCormickProf Howard: Clinton, Gore and Lieberman are also relics of the same period. Today's political landscape is much less pragmatic and the Democrats of today value ideology over pragmatism.
@CoachForGov Alabama runs on Dillon’s Rule. Cities have no inherent right to govern themselves; every power they hold comes from the legislature, which expand, shrink, or take in back. There’s no fed constitutional right to local self-government. You have the authority.
@iamrjknight Jeremiah, these are such incredibly biblical and refreshing posts that remind me of a loving, wise and patient Father in Heaven. Thank you.
@iamrjknight Jeremiah, let me encourage you Brother that many people read your posts and are impacted by their words. Continue to allow the Spirit guide you.
A humble and prayerful man will see riches in Scripture that a proud mind will walk past without trembling. The Bible does not open its depths to cleverness alone. It is not mastered by intellect, degrees, debate skill, or theological confidence. It is received by those who come low before God.
“The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant” (Psalm 25:14).
Pride can study the Bible and still miss God. It can define doctrine, win arguments, quote verses, and remain untouched in the heart. The Pharisees searched the Scriptures, yet Christ said, “It is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life” (John 5:39-40).
That is the danger. A man can handle holy things with an unbroken spirit. He can learn truth without being humbled by it. But Scripture is clear: “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6).
So we must not come to the Bible merely to collect information. We must come asking God to search us, correct us, wound our pride, and lead us to Christ. “Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Your law” (Psalm 119:18).
The proud student may know the words on the page. The humble soul learns to bow before the God who speaks through them.
@wil_da_beast630 It has always seemed like fewer gay men hate women, than lesbian women hate men. This tells me that lesbianism is more deeply emotional than a lack of attraction to the masculine.
