Positive cyclin D1 by IHC seen in hairy cell leukemia & rarely in lymphomas like DLBCL (rule out pleomorphic MCL) & SLL. However, IGH::CCND1 translocation is absent in these neoplasms, unlike mantle cell lymphoma & plasma cell neoplasm. #HemPath #PathologyEducation #LymSM

Did U know that hairy cell leukemia 👇🏻 is + for Cyclin D1 by IHC?? Well U do now😉
But unlike mantle cell lymphoma & myeloma (some) hairy cell leukemia does not have a IGH::CCND1 translocation
So remember: not all that is cyclinD1+ is mantle cell lymphoma
