@chrisschmitz They’re definitely not going to try and cram a new engine into a it. The SR-71 was literally built around the j-58 engines back in the 60s. Wiring, plumbing, bypass doors, everything would have to be gutted. New nacelles built and wind tunnel tested. A new plane would be easier
