After dozens of hours of tedious work, I finally finished this colored pencil portrait of Dale Earnhardt.

@TowryPeyton One aspect about this era of Nascar people forget to mention is, Nascar was unapologetically itself, there was nothing like it. It didnt try to be anything other than itself. The downfall is when it looked at other sports, even sports not doing as well, and tried to mimic them.

@BYNDmetropolis Yes the racing at Indy has never been objectively good, but with that said the next gen has made it even worse than it already was.

@jeff_gluck Then speed up the cautions, dont take racing away. Fridays and Saturdays are for 2.5 hour and less shows, cup is supposed to be a grueling challenge. Why do media members hate this damn sport man? The cup series downfall started with trying to be "like other sports"

@Teqhzi No creativity in the gaming community anymore. Back then, yeah there were these kind of emblems, but there were far more creative ones, now its mostly edge this garbage, at what point do you grow out of that and want to show at least some of your own personality?

@5KLNASCARFAN If cars get spread out at this point in the race, that means the fast cars are where they need to be, upfront and werent just stuck the whole race. Even when Tony got shuffled out of the lead he could get back to it, that is impossible in the next gen. Not unlikely, impossible

@egglet124 @kkingstyle Been on iRacing since 2009, it has not always been like this. The only one that has always been bad was martinsville. Hell, even massive pileups going to the line at plate tracks weren't a thing. The culture is so different man, it used to feel like a hobby rather than a game

@drizz_81 And there was higher viewership back then, but millions. People wake up to watch F1 at 6am, if the west coast want to watch, they will regardless of the time.
