#SkySCOPE Geminids Meteor Shower will peak during 13-15 December 🌠
Though you can usually see many 10s of #Geminids meteors per hour, we will see far fewer this year, since the glare of the full moon🌕will play spoilsport.

I’m leading a @GreenBankObserv expedition to the northernmost settlement in the world, Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard. 🐻❄️📡 We’re gathering parts from a decommissioned telescope with our @Kartverket observatory friends.
Oh, and my rifle permit for polar bear protection came in today.🫣
Pallas’s cat’s requirement for large areas and their diet and habitat specialization makes them more vulnerable to habitat fragmentation and degradation, which is currently regarded as the major threat to this species.
When you explain to your long lost friend who you are, how you both met , what you both shared and why you know so much about them...
Just look at their scared face.
And start laughing to lighten up the environment otherwise they'll feel miserable.
Some suggestions as you go about phrasing an email to request a summer/winter internship -
1. Address them as Dr. So & So - avoid the Sir/Maam suffix.
2. Give them a succinct description of your academic journey so far - state possible research experiences thus far, if any.
@Tsering_gaphel No. I have seen some students doing self study because of the bad way of teaching in the class. But if you are understanding what professor taught you and your doubts are getting resolved then it's all good.
@Tsering_gaphel I can understand your concern. Try to be less dependent on professors. They are there to guide you. Do self study. If you get stuck somewhere, ask for the help from your seniors, friends and professors.
@Tsering_gaphel Just have your attendance above threshold. Be in contact with atleast one professor who knows you well (that'll help you with your projects and further guidance). Learn Time Management and focus on learning & developing skills.
@Tsering_gaphel I have seen both students who attend classes regularly and those who don't. Both developed skills and got jobs (and yes CGPA matters). Focusing on attendance is useless. What matters is if you are learning or not.
