Defining your character holds far more value than simply telling others how good you are." ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ ๐ฎ๐ช ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ ๐บ๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐๐พ
His father once told him, โSon, farming is in your blood.โ ๐พ
He believed it with everything he had.
At 26 he took over the family farm โ young, hopeful, and ready to work harder than anyone who came before him.
He kept that promise for fifteen years.
Now heโs 41 and looks a decade older.
His hands are split and calloused from the cold. His back seizes up every morning before the day even starts. Heโs missed birthdays, school plays, family dinners and anniversaries that can never be replayed.
Every Sunday night his wife does the accounts at the kitchen table.
Last Sunday she sat there for a long time without speaking.
Then she looked up.
โWeโre forty thousand pounds down this year.โ
After fifteen years of early mornings and late nights, diesel has doubled, fertiliser is up 60%, electricity has tripledโฆ and the price he receives for his wheat is almost exactly what it was in 2015.
He is not lazy.
He is not incompetent.
He is not failing.
The system is failing him.
And every Sunday night his wife still sits at that same table, staring at numbers that only ever seem to get worse.
How long before Britain loses an entire generation of farmers who simply canโt afford to carry on?
We tax cigarettes to reduce smoking.
We tax alcohol to reduce drinking.
We tax fuel to reduce driving.
What do you think happens when you tax employing people and running a business?
โNobody has the right to live their lives being protected from offense or from insults or from hurt feelings. It is an occupational hazard of living in society.โ

Private property is vital to freedom. The more industries you have in the hands of government, the more the bureaucrats run things...Bureaucrats on the whole are not good at business, they're not good at industry. They shouldn't have the running of it.
The more powers you put into the hands of government, the less the powers of the people. The more in the hands of the bureaucrats, the less in the hands of the electors.
So of course we reduced that.
It not only puts the industries back to people who know how to run them but it extends share ownership. We've extended capital ownership far wider than ever before.
Capital ownership should be something that every single person feels that as they begin to prosper, they can put money aside and build up capital; build their own security.
It makes them much more powerful against a government.
Probably the 1st video ive seen of @garyseconomics and shows you all you need to know about him.
He doesn't understand basic tax
He doesn't truly understand economics at all
@DanielPriestley remained calm and took him to school.
I cannot believe anyone listens to Gary. Scary that he claims to be an economist
๐จNEWS: Norway has begun RE-OPENING North Sea Oil sites to meet growing demand from the UK
In case you weren't aware of just how stupid the UK Government is, they are BLOCKING permits to drill while PAYING Norway to drill oil from the North Sea instead
We are led by clowns
For his vomit-inducing persecution of innocent British troops, Hermer should join Starmer in being kicked out of the most unpatriotic government in our island's history
