In light of the passing of Alex Zanardi, I just wanted to share this video from #TheLastLeg that always makes me well up. I remember the 2012 games and his medal so fondly - what a true inspiration to the world of motorsports & parasports.

Elizabeth Banks says more people should be following Effie's arc from ‘THE HUNGER GAMES’
“Effie for me is one of the characters that has the greatest arc that I’ve ever played because obviously she props up this fascist regime that she benefits from and it’s not until she really comes to care for and see how unfair it is when they want to pull Katniss and Peta into the games again… I think in ‘Catching Fire’ when she’s like, ‘I want to be part of this team,’ and you really see her struggling and then by the end she’s like a revolutionary… I wish more of us were becoming revolutionaries!"

🚨| Why David Coulthard ignored order during Kimi Antonelli's emotional win interview:
— David Coulthard chose to ignore a directive to move on from Kimi Antonelli during an emotional post-race interview. Speaking to media, Coulthard explained:
“As an older man, I could feel for him as a young racer. He's only a couple of years older than my son, so I'm looking in my eyes, at a boy. Of course, he's a man, but he's a boy-man in my eyes.”
“And for him to get away at the beginning of the chat absolutely fine, and then I think he caught his father's eye behind the barriers, and I think that's what triggered the tears. And I'm getting someone in my ear saying, 'Move on to George'. But it felt to me that that would have lost that moment. It was a beautiful moment, because this is someone who's a boy-man, realising his dream of being a grand prix winner.”
— Reflecting on Antonelli's potential, Coulthard noted the significance of the win:
“This could set him on a way towards being one of the youngest ever world champions as well, if he has this continued run, because right now, Mercedes are looking pretty hot.”
— Coulthard also discussed the dynamics between Antonelli and his teammate George Russell, suggesting a competitive edge:
“What's going to be really interesting is how he paces himself during the course of the year. That's where I think Lando [Norris] had the advantage over Oscar [Piastri] last year. Having more experience of life, having more experience of grand prix racing, he didn't have the drop-off in performance.”
— On the evolving relationship between Antonelli and Russell, Coulthard remarked:
“It's done now, because George knows he has a real threat for the championship. So make no bones about it, George, behind that façade of well done Kimi, is trying to get every advantage he can over him for Suzuka and the next grand prix and going forward. Kimi's team should be doing the same.”
— F1 2026 continues with the Japanese Grand Prix, where the rivalry between Antonelli and Russell is expected to intensify.

🗣️Alex Albon about Yuki:
"Honestly, I'm off social media so I only found out this morning. But I do feel sorry for Yuki."
"I think Yuuki is an extremely talented driver and in my opinion he deserves a place in F1. At the moment he's a reserve driver but hopefully he can find a way to make an impact on the team. He's in a very similar situation to what I was in in 2021. I don't know, but I think so."
"I think that's why they put him in the position he is in. I might be biased, I'm very biased towards the Asian guys in the paddock, but I hope he comes back. I think he's talented and I'd love to see him come back."
