Very grateful for the opportunity to speak at @AlzResearchUK ECR Technical Showcase at KCL yesterday! I talked about two exciting technologies in blood biomarkers. Great to hear what techniques others are using to understand and tackle dementia.
Gave my very first talk today! I spoke about measuring Alzheimer's disease biomarkers remotely using dried blood spots🩸at AAIC Neuroscience Next. Thank you so much for having me! #AAICNN23
Not how I wanted to attend the AD/PD conference (knee injury meaning I'm attending virtually) but very happy to be supporting my wonderful colleagues from afar. Great talk @immy_swift! #ADPD2023
Get ready for the launch of Women in Neuroscience (WiN UK)! 🧠💗
We are thrilled to have our incredible speaker @EmmanuelleVire, Associate Professor at University College London, speak about her career journey as a female academic 👩🔬

Please RT. PhD students funded by @UKRI_News face a cash crisis. They are working full-time, yet earning less than living wage. With the rising cost of living and increasing pressure to deliver high quality research that benefits society, something needs to change. THREAD (1/10)
Had a wonderful evening at @pintofscience@Water_Rats, hearing about teenage brains and social media, topped off by winning a lovely glass through my superior pipetting skills during Pipette Wars
Here is the result of my @_ASCUS@InterSciEd art and science collaboration. I made this sculpture, based on the integrated omics research I do in my #PhD with @MarioniGroup, @EdinUni_IGC. Full pics in the thread below. 👇 #AcademicTwitter
My wish is that ‘respair’ will emerge from the forgotten pages of the dictionary and be on everyone’s lips in 2021: it means fresh hope and a recovery from despair. Happy New Year x
Why do so many people pull their masks down when on the phone...? If the mask obscures the volume, it's a negligible amount. When you're talking is when you need it on most, to protect others
An interesting insight into an older group's thoughts on Internet culture... Overhearing the middle aged consultants talking about the Karen meme. Most of them had no idea
when I was a single mum on the breadline I ate, or my son ate. He ate, & I had what he left on his plate. Some days that was nothing. You can't begin to comprehend how important this is for some families. 322 Tories have no idea about food poverty. And I dont even think they care
I don’t understand how there will be 322 MPs going to sleep tonight knowing that they voted against an extension of free school meals that would help children like this. It is inhumane, cruel and truly heartbreaking.
