@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner I don’t drink. In this context, holistically meant considering all relevant factors rather than focusing on just last season. In other words, I used a comprehensive, multi-dimensional approach to evaluate using the whole picture which you can’t do. I used it correctly. You’ll see
@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner Um every team in the metro. We dont see the league the same. You’re clearly basing your opinion solely on last season. You aren’t looking at it holistically and with zero consideration for things to be inevitably different from last year. You’ll see in May when we’re in the ECF.
@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner Ha. I disagree with literally all of that. You just don’t have the vision. That’s ok. Can’t wait for you to realize you’re wrong!
@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner We will have a system now with Sully. Key is not consistent enough to be a real difference maker. Certainly not worth $7.5m. Half the player Gavrikov is. Missed the playoffs because of collective misery. The problems are gone now. Last year was an outlier.
@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner You either don’t actually watch over 100 full NHL games a year like I do or we’re somehow analyzing the game totally differently because literally all of that’s pretty objectively wrong lol
@gjyuhas@HockeyStatMiner You mean the team that’s just a system, defensive defenseman, and a top line? lol
Shesty, Fox, JT, and Bread are all better than any player on that team. That doesn’t even get into Gavrikov, Schneider, Troch, Mika, Laf, and Cools. Oh and Sully.
@HockeyStatMiner Yea I don’t think he’s hedging anything. I don’t think he plans to make a first round selection in 2026. Trade capital. Not confusing to me. If we get Shabanov we’re the best team in the metro easily.
@610Barstool I don’t think two late 2025 first round prospects are gonna be viewed as highly at the deadline as a 2026 1st round pick where a team gets to make the selection themself in a v deep draft. Alternately need a 2026 1st to sign an offer sheet. Either way, they’re not drafting
@HockeyStatMiner Are you arguing two late 2025 first round prospects are gonna be viewed as highly as a 2026 1st round pick where a team gets to make the selection themselves? Because I would say most FO’s would view the latter as more valuable. Alternately need a 2026 1st to sign an offer sheet
@HockeyStatMiner Yea I don’t think they have any intention of using the 2026 pick. It’s being sent for an offer sheet or used in a trade at the 2026 deadline. The FO is planning on a bounce back like 94.
@AdamZHerman Very clear to me they aren’t making their pick in 2026 either. It’s gonna be sent in a trade to continue to upgrade the team. The FO thinks they’re bouncing right back like 94.
@RigasTimothy@610Barstool I used Evolving Wilds Contract projections. JJ doesn’t have arbitration rights yet so he has no leverage. He also didn’t have the playoff stats that Wyatt did. And Byram is an rfa still so he doesn’t really get a say in where he plays yet either.
@610Barstool You know I’ve been trying to speak this into existence for too long. Laf, Schneids, 2025 1st (keep it to trade it) for Peterka and Byram with matching 5x6m deals. Then find takers for Soucy and Kreider and sign Bennett to 7x7 and Perbix to 4x3m and this team is cooking
