Over the weekend a client was falsely arrested by the Houston Police Department for the crime of interfering with his own false arrest. A child had called police to report an argument between my client and his fiance. When police arrived, the woman appeared at the door. Officers wrote that they saw no visible injuries on her and that she told them it had just been a heated argument.

Police literally pushed her out of the way and entered the home without a warrant. They initially had two guns drawn but later had a gun and a taser. The woman pleaded with police that the client was not a “suspect” as they called him that. They pointed their weapons at him and ordered him to show his hands. They put their hands on him to arrest him and threw him to the ground, busting his face. They lied in their report and claimed he had “closed the distance” on them and tried to run through the apartment. He was injured in the incident.

The DAs Office refused charges on family violence (duh) but charged the client with “interference.” He did not interfere, and at any rate, you can’t interfere illegally with a false arrest.

We appeared in front of the judge where I asked for the court to find no probable cause. The court set it for a hearing the next day to give the state a chance to review the video. We showed up in court today and the judge was out, and another judge refused to hold our hearing, leaving my client in jail. I explained that he was going to lose his job and we worked very hard to get him that job (in food service).

The DAs Office continues to engage in pretend prosecutions on cases they KNOW they will never take to trial. They are using human beings as target practice for young lawyers who have no idea and no training.

My client cannot make a $500 bond and I was told today that bond was reasonable so I am doing the only thing I can do when two arms of the same government refuses to fix an obvious miscarriage of justice. He will not sleep another night in jail on my watch for this bullshit.

It's like you're taking all lessons learned watching Internet personalities implode and then re-enacting them.

You've crafted this message to "own up" without actually having to tell your audience what you did and to who.

For educational purposes, let's go point-by-point:

1. Who is this for? Who are "some folks"? It should be for @PoweroftheTruth and @Andywarski, but you don't mention them once. The first requirement of an apology is addressing the people who you have wronged. People are taught this as toddlers.

2. The second component of an apology is identifying what you are apologizing for. You actually didn't just say you'd "take their channel down", you were threatening to go "scorched earth" and "take everything they have".

3. The third component is actually taking responsibility for it unconditionally. The first NINE paragraphs preceding the apology is your justification. If you feel so justified in going "scorched earth" and "taking everything they have", don't bother apologizing.

4. You're doing this on Twitter. Your tweets only get as many views as mine and all I do is dump half-baked racism a couple times a week. Supposedly you get as many as 60,000 live viewers, so that would be the appropriate place to apologize for threatening to engage in lawfare and deplatforming for online banter.

5. The true purpose of this message is to try and appease PPP + the Kino Casino audience without actually having to expose your audience to anything that's been going on or what any of the "vile untrue shit" is. In the same way you thought threatening to take everything they had might make them shut up, you're hoping that an ambiguous apology might take the wind out of their sails without having to eat crow for anything.

Finally, and most importantly, this message ignores reality. You're not learning anything. You've not accepted any of the points raised that have "triggered" you.

Your friend, who you invite over to your house, is a known swinger with a criminal history involving domestic violence. There is very good circumstantial evidence that you were aware of this.

There are way too many clips of you making wildly inappropriate statements to your female cohosts. Nobody can take public statements that they're fine with it at face value. They are your employees, and one of them is feeding a baby (soon two). She can't afford to leave at any time if she wanted to.

You also say "my female co-workers love working together and we're all friends" but we know for a fact that's not true.
