It’s not math, it’s statistics. Just about anything is predictable depending on the confidence factor. Two important factors:
1) The 30% or so that are Independent or no party affiliation and to a small part undecided voters. This is a large group of voters that could move percentages but unpredictability.
2) Demographic changes within precincts. Many people have moved out of California and many people have moved around in California often due to employer changes and cost-of-living. Any demographic modeling done in the last 2-4 years might be inaccurate enough to make voting predictions wildly wrong.
@ScooterCasterNY If the protestors are demanding people “quit their job”, are they trying to unionize the workers? Are they intimidating the workers in the labor dispute? It seems like there are significant RICO violations here.
It looks like the “photographer” wasn’t “hit”. Rather he was trying to photograph the driver of the car reaching around the front of the windshield and as the car moved forward, his sleeve got tangled up with the outside mirror spinning him around into the side of the car butt first. He collapsed from the impact. Fortunately there were plenty of medical personnel to help him.
@nicksortor Stupid! Using their hands to pick up sand. How about getting a couple of shovels? Or those plastic shields they had would make excellent scoops. They really should stay in their lane or go home. This isn’t kindergarten!
If these numbers are correct, it means there are 2,863,671 ballots remaining to be counted. This means that anyone can still win or finished 2nd. Even though the odds are against it (none of the remaining ballots are for Hilton) it could be possible to have Steyer finish 1st and Porter finish 2nd. Traditionally, remaining mail-in ballots split the same as the ones counted but there is no guarantee. No one is technically eliminated yet.
What were the Founding Fathers thinking? They deliberately isolated the federal government from the people giving power to the states. The states had to have common core beliefs while having a diverse population. These common core beliefs are what are supposed to unite us to create the “United States of America”. We are NOT the “United People of America”. Our Founding Fathers gave the power of “We the people” working through the states only. Maybe this has what kept us together for 250 years. Our United States has to fix Congress.
@RealTraderJill The immaturity of many people on social media boggles my mind. It is like being in junior high school with pissed off kids because no one asked them to the Spring Dance.
Social media has the responsibility to minimize immaturity no matter what age.
Depending on the person and the medication, the meds calm the brain’s overstimulation and hyperfocus. This allows the brain to focus on what the body needs. If the body needs relaxation, it may seem like they are drained.
Also, hyperactive and “energetic” can manifest itself in many different ways, not just running around the room.
Many people with ADHD have developed coping mechanisms over the years. Some coping mechanisms can be very draining.
@CynicalPublius FWIW the young people in this ad now are probably at least 70 years young. They (we) failed to teach the world how to sing. But did they teach their children and grandchildren how to sing?
