@joenutt_author@ces111 Well? Come on. You were saying For God Sake as if you hadn’t made a ridiculously ignorant point. Explain why you think only a business that has shareholders are currently required to add VAT to the services they provide?
@joenutt_author@ces111 This is too good. What a bloody stupid argument you are making. So you genuinely think if I set up a corner shop and sold products, i wouldn’t have to add VAT because I would have no shareholders?
@joenutt_author@ces111 Every other private business has VAT added to services it offers so yes it is an exemption. How on earth is it not?? I’m sorry you are so angry that certain parents will no longer be able to buy privilege, I’ll reserve my anger for the real injustices in this country.
@joenutt_author@ces111 What lies? The polling is there to show the support and it was part of Labour manifesto. There’s far worse things happening to kids in this country than the fact that a limited few may have to switch schools, look at the child poverty rates - that’s where my sympathy will lie!

Hmm who to believe? A guy with a vested interest stating opinions stuck in an echo chamber. Or actual national polling?
@CreEnglish@BBCNewsnight You asked a question. I answered it. SEND funding has been slashed at state schools which is why there are so many difficulties for children with SEND. Labour are seeking to raise money for state schools by taxing private schools. If your concern is SEND, surely you are happy?
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK And replaced it with??? Nothing. By the end, the roof on certain school buildings were literally caving in. Victorian era, energy inefficient buildings not designed for modern education which had set to be replaced still remain. It’s pathetic. I’m glad Labour are stepping up.
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK There’s been money put aside in Lab’s budget today for capital spending on education. The tories let school infrastructure rot. SEND funding has been slashed repeatedly but suddenly when private school fees go up the right wing press are suddenly concerned on the impact on SEND??
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK lol you are so incoherent. Yes, temporary classrooms have been used for decades when there are temporary shortfalls in places. They are called mobile classrooms. I would imagine they will be used in areas where there is need as has been done for decades…
@samnorman31@TherealNihal There really is, the birth rate has been declining for years and immigration has not filled the shortfall. Obviously not equal across the board and in some areas the child population has increased but nationally the number of children in state schools is down.
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK The tories scrapped the school building scheme from the last government. It replaced it with nothing and school roofs were literally collapsing by the end of their term.
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK Overall, nationally down significantly. But the odd local authority at capacity. So in your view it’s ‘rubbish’ there’s spare capacity? What a daft response, particularly when Labour literally announced funding today for extra secondary school places in those specific areas.
@emsybem2020@MavenPolitic@PolitlcsUK lol which bit? The birth rate is literally the lowest on record. There are there less children in primary schools than there was 10 years ago. Literal facts. Care to make a counter point?
