If you are a trader, you are playing a very different game, and whether you will make money or not on SpaceX is a function of how good you are gauging mood and momentum, and shifts in both. I am awful at both, and will stay in my lane. https://t.co/zRjpD1C0wv
@PeterBerezinBCA Disagree. Gas stations need to be located where people live, work and travel. Data centers don't. Data centers also benefit from scale, fewer, larger better.
IF we get AGI or ASI capabilities, first application will be designing better chips, requiring fewer resources.
As an "investor", I would never buy shares in the SpaceX IPO.
As a trader, or speculator, I might. There are enough stupid people in the world that the price may pop significantly when it goes public. But I would not hold it.
@davidyelland Elon Musk is many things, including a liar and a fraudster, but he is not a threat to democracy. Twitter had more censorship before he bought it.
Every social media platform has issues with its algorithms.
@C_S_Skeptic 4 things driving the market today. 1. Passive investing, 2. Options, 3. Liquidity, 4. Narrative.
Notice the absense of fundamentals and value.
@adamtaggart The impact will be significant, the questions are, will it be linear, exponential, or a significant step change, & on what time scale?
Main impact in near term may be less hiring of new workers. 2 new college grads with AI instead of 5 to 10 without.
LLMS won't get to AGI.
Three Predictions:
1. Some form of AI, probably neurosymbolic in nature, will come that is far more economical and data- and energy-efficient than LLMs, and it will make an absolute fortune.
2. LLMs, on the other hand, will never be all that profitable (aside from the chip companies selling shovels in the gold rush).
3. Today’s gigantic bets are premature, and most won’t pay off.
@JordanSchachtel We are NOT colonizing Mars. Orbital data centers are just another pump scheme, like Tesla FSD.
Too many people have Musk Messiah Complex. He lies more than any businessman around.
@JordanSchachtel No, it's not. NASA vertically landed rockets in the 90's. But they had the Shuttle, which employed many people in many Congressional districts. Starlink is a good product, but not particularly innovative. Starship is unproven. XAI is a follower in AI.
She removed 1M videos so that people could only see videos consistent with her beliefs. Think about it: 1 million videos. Do you think that the people who created these videos were just making stuff up?
@adamtaggart BTC is gambling. The gamblers lost their patience with BTC and have moved on to greener pastures, the various AI trades.
They may come back to BTC some day.
NEW: Ahead of the SpaceX IPO, we tracked hundreds of promises that Musk has made over the years (FSD, Mars etc). His success rate is…not good. And it’s getting worse. Some actual data in our months long analysis: https://t.co/u3McNwUE80
@JordanAbbottMD Also, I get 15 minutes of full body, early morning or late afternoon sun everyday.
My dermo tells me it's not safe. I asked for robust evidence. He didn't have any. I won't even get into sunscreen.
@JordanAbbottMD Judging by the health of most doctors and nurses, either they know little about good health and chronic disease, or they don't have the discipline to make good choices.
Either way, it's a bad sign.
@JordanAbbottMD Many leading MD's agree that:
1. We are only 10 to 20% of the way to understanding how the human body actually works.
2. 50% of what is taught in medical school will turn out to be wrong.
Per the scientific method, the "standard of care" is at best, not wrong.
@thoughtfulmoney@QTRResearch You mentioned 3 things driving markets, 1. passive, 2. options, 3. liquidity. I would add a 4th, Narrative.
Musk, TSLA, SpaceXAI are prime examples. Many others.
Agree with many of your points, but I will stay long until 42Macro tells me things are shifting.
