We are recruiting for postdocs in optical ultrasound imaging with robotic guidance for lung applications. Great opportunity to join a great project and team
@RichardColches1 and I are speaking @BIGchats on the 26th of July. We worked with @baddeo1 to make a game to discuss questions about priorities in healthcare systems & research institutions
In March, WEISS member @RichardColches1 participated in the @royalsociety Policy Pairing Scheme. The scheme allows policymakers & research scientists to experience each other's worlds. Read about Richard's experience here👉 https://t.co/eZ2rINDVO0 #WeAreWEISS@UCLmedphys
Surge is a collaboration between WEISS & @UALPGCommunity. It brings together artists and researchers to work with the public and make innovate sciart. The final outputs are currently on display @LCCLondon but you can also see the work online at https://t.co/dfJ5wHBBVe
We spoke to @RichardColches1 research fellow @WEISS_UCL about his drive to create equal access to cutting-edge care. And about the people, places and ideas that inspired him, including Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. https://t.co/T8vbjYKcbl
Ginormous thanks to all the @WEISS_UCL researchers who contributed their knowledge & the many who have helped staff the exhibition and deliver demos of their work. A particular thanks to @RichardColches1@SachaNoimark & Zhi Li who have been instrumental from the start
Not work related, instead coffee and baking! Ana and I were recently interviewed for the podcast @FromCupToCoffee about all things baking and coffee. Give it a listen here: https://t.co/GzwkNWv3Oj
Shaoyan Zhang and colleagues report in @commseng a combined all-optical ultrasound simultaneous imaging and laser ablation tool. The device, less than 1mm in diameter, could be used for minimally invasive surgical applications.

In this work we the feasibility for ablation tracking in real-time using a dual-modality fibre optic device. Find it here: https://t.co/jp2E1nx3iY
Have you seen the ultrasound of your blood vessel and wondered how these images are constructed? If you have, may we invite you to take part in this art/science workshop with researcher @RichardColches1 and artist Carla Fernandez. https://t.co/I7pUsHJpGv
Excited to be doing some in person engagement again. Come learn how we are working to improve surgery at Charles Bell House from 1 pm - 4 pm for the Science of Surgery.
@WEISS_UCL
Next Tuesday (31/05/22 from 1pm to 4pm), WEISS opens its doors to the public for The Science of Surgery. This is a chance for anyone interested in, or wanting to learn about, science and medicine to come and find out more at a fun and friendly event.

Does making coffee count as a hobby? I got a new toy. Accurate and stable temperature, filtered water, timed pouring on a scale. Making coffee is starting to sound a lot like what I do at work 🤣
