There's a terrible 5th Circuit opinion I'd like you all to see. Lots of people say we should "use conservative arguments against them," but you have to understand, FedSoc judges do not care about their own hypocrisy. They just write their way through it.

🚨 BREAKING: ICE secretly deported Luis Leon, an 82-year-old torture survivor and U.S. legal resident of nearly 40 years, after he walked into an immigration office to replace a lost green card.
Instead of processing the request, ICE handcuffed him, detained his wife for 10 hours, and later told the family; through a fake “lawyer,” that he was dead.
Turns out, ICE quietly transferred him through a Minnesota detention center and dumped him in Guatemala, a country he has zero ties to. There’s no deportation paperwork, no public record. His family only found him alive after relatives in Chile tracked him to a Guatemalan hospital.
Leon suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart issues. The DOJ is now under fire, but this is the Trump-era immigration machine still in motion—cruel, unaccountable, and lawless.
If they can disappear an elderly, law-abiding U.S. resident…
They can disappear anyone.
As a millennial, I don’t think we fully realize the power we hold yet. The average age in America is 38. That means if millennials really showed up, we could flip the scales in politics.
In Black communities especially, we have to work the soil of politics to turn out our generation if we want to see the harvest in our lifetime. If we’re up to bat, we need to be clear about the kind of leaders we’re calling for. We have to have hard and honest conversations with each other.
Too often, we’ve looked for leadership in a certain package or personality. But in this climate, we need leaders who are strategic and willing to fight for the best interest of the people. “Nice” leadership has given us the results we see today.
Just some food for thought this Sunday. Always a good conversation with my friend @drkeyhallmon.

The confederacy never died in America. It morphed into the KKK, instituted Jim Crow laws, voter suppression, and mass incarceration.
Today it’s called maga and is running the nation.
The white wing freak out about Superman is both characteristically stupid and uninformed, but hilarious in its own “you people really are the worst” way.
Also: Texas is the worst.

@queenie4rmnola Masters. Good. To. Their. Slaves.
Masters. Slaves.
Any human being who has the power of life and death over another human being for their entire life, regardless of the perception of the enslaved human of their treatment, those life experiences are not good.
@atrupar Madam puppy shooter, the federal government has always worked in coordination with the states to provide resources the state may not have or does not have enough of to mitigate the harm done by a natural disaster. The ultimate goal is to help the people affected by the disaster.
The truth is, their “pro-life” label is a lie. A marketing slogan for power, not a moral code. If life were sacred to them, they would fight for the living with the same fervor they reserve for the unborn. If they truly believed in the teachings of Christ, they would see Him in the faces of the grieving mothers on the riverbank—in the hungry child, the homeless veteran, the refugee.
But they do not.
Their God is power.
Their altar is cruelty.
