Horrific and heartbreaking. The people responsible need to be held accountable for their actions. All the precious life that is lost...why are these people not in jail? Why are there no consequences for burning the planet and killing endangered species and their habitat?
Y'all watch the latest dubbed episode of Jaadugar?!
Y'all noticed how I said JABIR and not GABIR?! YEAH!! I'M PERFECTLY AWARE OF MY EGYPTIAN DIALECT!! I GOT IT RIGHT FOR Y'ALL, UMMAH! ๐ญ
Anyways. It's another Salam alaykoum Saturdaemons. Y'all know what to do. ๐โจ๐
Banner updated. This is incredibly surreal for me to look at. Words can't express how much gratitude I feel. I've achieved so much. But I'm still nowhere near where I want to be yet. I have really big dreams. And I will strive to improve and make those dreams a reality. ๐
Friendly reminder to not procrastinate on those auditions! The sooner you record and submit, the better! Try not to wait until the last minute. Youโve got this!!! ๐๏ธ๐ชโค๏ธ
๐งตfor VAs: Letโs talk about โmaking it.โ I get a lot of VO students who think that once you land a role in Genshin or Apex, you never have to audition again. We wish! ๐
Success is waves on the beach; they come in, they go back out. Thereโs no voice actor who doesnโt audition sometimes, & no one-time achievement that guarantees anything forever. Every famous person Iโve talked to has had dry years. Not weeks or months. Years.
Success is a habit you build, not some lottery ticket. People ask me all the time how I get to do vo full time, and my answer is that I learned how to be successful in other areas first. I had an entire successful Opera career, a successful IT career. So I know what excellence is because I create it - it comes with me wherever I go. And it's purposeful for many, not just me. Sometimes you have to rebuild your whole career when what youโre doing stops working. That takes humility and commitment, not the luck of a flash-in-the-pan trend that dies in a few months.
I talk to famous legacy actors jealous of not being in the trendy new thing, & new trendy VAs wanting to be legacy actors, not realizing they're only looking at each other's green grass.
But no matter how invested some actors are in their brand fantasy, there's no real "making it" in an industry where you're only as good as the last thing you booked, turnover is high, & memories are short on purpose. It's just riding waves or making your own waves and riding those. Until you canโt anymore.
Itโs terrifying and amazing, so enjoy the ride. You're already on it. This is it. ๐คโจ
Guys.. for those of you new to me and my shenanigans... If I show love and enthusiasm for a project I'm in. High chance..it's not because I'm in it. I'm just...a nerd. I love anime. I love videogames.
I just REALLY love it and want the whole world to know it. ๐ญ๐ฅน๐
