@mommaxunicorn You can definitely choose your seats on most airlines but sometimes it’s an extra cost to choose in advance, which, if you’re concerned about sitting together, is worth the extra cost IMO.

@mommaxunicorn It depends on the airline and your ticket level. You can either choose your seats, get assigned at check-in, or it’s open seating. Southwest is open seating with 3 major boarding groups. Families with young children board after group A on that airline.
